Transformers: Prime: Smokescreen's Destiny

Chapter 22: Rethinking the Past

A few weeks ago...

Inside of the Autobot Earth base called, Autobot Outpost Omega One, Smokescreen was sitting on the floor as he feels insecure of being a member of Team Prime. Ever since he came to Earth, he met Optimus Prime and he is excited to work for him, but Optimus' team were skeptical as they believed he is a Decepticon imposter because of their incident with Makeshift when impersonated Wheeljack to groundbridge Starscream's troops to their base, but the real Wheeljack escaped and prevented him from revealing the base by blowing him up with a grenade.

When Smokescreen mentioned his role as Alpha Trion's bodyguard as Optimus Prime allows Smokescreen to go to their base because Optimus Prime's mentor would only shared information. Smokescreen gets consist scolding from Arcee and Ratchet for his recklessness. Bumblebee, the youngest member of Team Prime sees Smokescreen sulking as he approaches him. "Smokescreen, everything okay?" Bumblebee beeped "Yeah, everything's fine, Bumblebee" Smokescreen answered "Are you sure?" Bumblebee asked "Yeah" Smokescreen answered.

Bumblebee knew something is not right about Smokescreen because Bumblebee had been through many experience when something troubles him as Bumblebee sits next to him "Come on, Smokescreen, you can talk to me" he beeped. Smokescreen looks at Bumblebee and sees Bumblebee's honest and innocent face as Smokescreen sighs and turns to Bumblebee.

"I'm having trouble fitting in with Team Prime, ever since I came to Earth I was excited to work with Optimus Prime and I thought the war would end easily with me joining Team Prime, but when Bulkhead showed up showing me his injuries as an example of how hard the war would end" Smokescreen explained as Bumblebee could relate to that.

"I know how you feel Smokescreen...I also had trouble of fitting in with Team Prime before you ever came here, before we had ever met the human kids. After the Exodus of Cybertron, there were more Autobots aboard the Ark before we got separated from them during our space travels...and Optimus, Ratchet, Bulkhead and I were the only ones left on the Ark which crash landed on Earth in the 2000s and there were more Decepticons as all of us had to fought them. Then after a curtain battle, the Autobots and Decepticons went their separate ways and some of them went to the Spacebridge" Bumblebee explained.

"Optimus Prime formed Team Prime as Ratchet, Bulkhead, Arcee, Cliffjumper, and I joined him as we went to Jasper, Nevada. I began to feel insecure of fitting in with because they are a lot older than me as I am the last generation of Cybertron. But, Optimus Prime helped me to fit in by hanging out them. Arcee and I went sightseeing in the roads, Bulkhead and I played Lob ball, Cliffjumper and I were sightseeing in Las Vegas" he explained "What's Las Vegas?" Smokescreen asked "Las Vegas is a 'where' not a 'what'" Bumblebee corrected "Las Vegas is a city far away from Jasper, it's famous for its casinos and hotels. When it is night time, the neons turned on and everyone would have the best time of their life. Vegas also has props of monuments from different states or countries like The Statue of Liberty from New York, the Eiffel Tower from Paris, France, and the Sphinx and one of the Pyramids from Egypt" he added as Smokescreen is impressed "Wow!" Smokescreen exclaimed.

"I know, right?" Bumblebee added "What about you and Ratchet?" Smokescreen asked "He and I know each other a long time, so we're cool" Bumblebee replied with a beep "And Optimus?" Smokescreen added "He and I are very close, when we are not patrolling or fighting Decepticons, he and I would drive around town, race in the canyon, and my favorite one is stargazing" Bumblebee beeped "We would go on the Helicopter hangar and watch the clear sky as we see the stars" he said.

"That is really amazing" Smokescreen said "We've been doing this ever since I was little back on Cybertron. When we were in the fields, he would always tell me of a tale that our great ancestors of past would come out of the Well of Allsparks and into the sky looking down at us, watching us, and guiding us" Bumblebee explained as Smokescreen is impressed. "What ya' say? Wanna have a night out with me?" Bumblebee asked "Sure" Smokescreen replied.
