Hypophrenia; A vague feeling of sadness, seemingly without a cause.

A pounding headache is what breaks me from my slumber. And I mean pounding. Still half asleep, I roll over and check the time on my phone on the nightstand. I don't process nor care that it reads 11:07 a.m, but then I realize River is under me and it's a Wednesday.
"Shit," I mumble, sitting up. I take a deep breath in before yawning and then looking over to see River still peacefully sleeping. His hair is very disheveled and half of it is sticking to his forehead. His lips are slightly parted as he's on his back, his head angled to the side from how I was just laying.
"River." I shake him. Nothing. "Riverrr." I draw out. Still nothing. I narrow my eyes at his still peacefully sleeping figure.
Leaning down to now be face to face with him, I bite the tip of his nose causing his eyes to snap open and his brows to furrow.
"Wake up." I say, still keeping my face close.
He groans, "Stop staring at me like that, it's creepy."
"Whatev-" My entire sentence is cut off and Rivers hand is suddenly on my face as he tosses my whole body to the side.
"Well that was really fucking unnecessary." I huff, turning on my side.
He shrugs, "It was fun." He turns on his side, wraps an arm around me, pulls me closer, then nuzzles his face in the crook of my neck.
"What time is it?" He asks, his voice vibrating off the side of my throat.
"11:10."
"Okay." Okay?
"Yeah but I thought you couldn't miss practice or anything."
"Don't worry, gorgeous, I'm like their best player. They have to let me play."
Well he's not wrong, but still.
"What about your mom? What if she gets mad an-" I'm rudely cut off by River himself. "Gorgeous, respectfully please shut up. I'm not leaving and school is overrated anyway. My mom can deal."
I sigh, realizing he's not giving in that easy. "Can you make me pancakes?" If he's going to stay then I think he can make himself useful. I always somehow burn pancakes every time I make them so I'm not the best candidate for this.
"As long as you're down there with me." He mumbles, his breath tickling my neck.
"You're lucky I want pancakes." I joke. He unwraps himself from me and then climbs over me to stand on the floor, offering his hand to me.
I gladly take it and pull my lazy ass out of bed. I follow River out of my room and down the stairs as I try to make the rats nest of a bun in my hair look a little better.
River starts searching the cabinets as I sit down on the island. He's shirtless so I can see the way every muscle flexes as he moves around and I think I could eat him for breakfast instead.
