Somewhat of a backstory:
Don't worry, in this universe, Gwen survived the fall. She and Peter (Peter Three, obvi) moved from New York to England because there was crime there, too (and that's where Gwen was going to go to university). When she graduated, they moved to Paris for no particular reason. There was crime there, too.
Peter had a few run-ins with Cat Noir as Spiderman, but he typically didn't help out when Hawkmoth would akumatize someone because the few times he did try to help, Ladybug thought that he was akumatized, and beat him up for hours until Cat Noir finally convinced her that Spiderman was indeed not akumatized, just trying to help.
Present Day:
"Did you hear they have a kid?" Peter was going on and on about how Cat Noir, now publicly known as Adrien Agreste's life was so strangely interesting. "Yeah, isn't it the lovechild of him and the mayor's daughter?" asked Gwen. "Yes, and what makes it even weirder is that the kid's name is Wheelbarrow." Peter scrolled past more headlines, "Adrien Agreste accused of third-degree murder?" Gwen grabbed the phone out of his hand. "...the reason for the death of Marinette Dupen-Chang, AKA, Ladybug?! He killed Ladybug?!" They were both shocked. Cat Noir and Ladybug always looked like the best of friends, maybe even a little more than friends, and he killed her?
Peter grabbed his phone back and read more of the article. "OH. She kidnapped him, locked him in his own basement, and tried to kill his girlfriend. Maybe it's justifiable?"
