Beverly hung up the phone after a tearful call with Adrien. He was stuck in Paris and she was stuck in New York. And sure, everyone was in a panic because Gwen had just gotten bit by a spider that was probably radioactive and passed out, but this was far more important.
Adrien had called Beverly on Zoe's phone because he didn't want to get tracked down through his phone and get everyone arrested. They both cried through the whole call.
Beverly barely knew anyone there. She would have liked to get to know everyone if she hadn't been possessed by Marinette, who hid in a back corner of the Ikea. Nobody knew what happened to Marinette. One minute she was possessing Beverly's body, the next, she was gone. Peter One said that he was disappointed that Marinette left Beverly's body without someone having to call the Ghostbusters.
Beverly had no one to confide in. Gwen was passed out on the floor and everyone else was in a panic trying to figure out if she was going to be the newest Spiderman (or Spiderwoman) or if she just got bit by a poisonous spider that could kill her.
Beverly pulled out her phone and sent Zoe a text that she needed to show Adrien.
