Prompt: where that little piece of Percy was a little piece of Annabeth too.
Third personPOV

Annabeth had never screamed so much, her desperate, heart-wrenching sobs were heartbreaking to anyone.
"I want Percy, I need Percy." She cried.
Sally, Grover and Thalia were helping her, murmuring words of comfort and holding her hands.
Percy's hands should be in hers, Percy should be with her.
And then, just when she thought this pain would last forever, it stopped. Time froze, as if a sedative had begun to take effect in her body.
And then she heard the most comforting sound in the world, the sound she would never forget.
That sweet cry of someone breathing for the first time, finally knowing life outside the uterine walls, that cry of someone who will still learn a lot, who will be loved like never before.
It was incredible how a cry, something Annabeth had always thought was sad, took on a new meaning.
Hope, that cry showed hope.
Annabeth was not Catholic, or any other kind of religious person, but in that moment, after so many nights beside Sally, holding that old rosary from Estelle Jackson, praying for something better, she felt she had to thank God.
Not even her gods could do something so perfect. She touched the delicate features of her son's face, the little button nose, the rounded shape of his chin, the little lines on his hands that had tiny fingers that held hers in an automatic reaction.
His hair was black, his eyes a greenish blue.
He was a little piece of Percy, and a little piece of her. He was Percy's love in her. The living, breathing, moving, physical proof that she loved her.
"Hi my love." She gently kissed one of Charlie's delicate reddish knuckles. "I love you so, so, so much. You are the little piece of Daddy that was missing in me." The laugh she gave shone a light in the room. "We'll find Daddy, I promise. And he will love you as much as I do."
