Prompt: Where Annabeth realizes that there are things more permanent than buildings.
Third person POV

Annabeth looked at the giggling five-year-old boy in the living room, breathing in and out, trying to memorize every part of the scene.
Charlie giggled and blew uncoordinated kisses to her, black hair messy and wavy, eyes shining bright green with adoration and love.
She held baby Zoe in her arms, she was turning three soon. Baby blue eyes and blonde hair, dressed in a light pink and purple flowery dress.
"Is everything okay, my Love?" Percy questioned, resting his hand on her shoulder, holding Charlie with his other hand, setting him down on his lap.
"Yeah..." She breathed out. "Y-yeah, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
She hesitated, thinking of how to tell him. "I just- I'm thinking about this, and what we have right now. This is... way more permanent than any building.
Five years ago I was so lost, after Tartarus everything felt like it was falling apart, even years after. I was so scared of being a mother because... How would I even work with that?
I was created to be an architect, to not get distracted, and yet... I felt so excited! My buildings could last a long time, but they would be destroyed eventually. This won't. Our DNA is there." She grabbed Zoe's small hand. "Mixed together in this amazing little beings. And this, this, will last forever. No matter how far behind it goes, it'll always be there. Even centuries later." She took a deep breath. "And I'm so glad we get to do this again." She took Percy's hand in hers and put them on her stomach. "I couldn't ask for anything more."
Percy's eyes got blurry, misty. Charlie tapped him, demanding attention. "A-are you serious?"
"Yeah..." She wiped his eyes, and then hers.
"I love you. I love you. I love you." He repeated again and again, kissing her.
"And I love you, Zoe." He kissed his daughter's forehead after she whined. "And I love you, Charlie." He repeated the same gesture to his son.
Sons and daughters. A ridiculous thought, an amazing thought.
He smiled, realizing they'd made it.
