"Errr... ma it's already seven and your husband said I should wake you up" Amina my personal maid said
"Thank you, leave my room" I said
I sat up on my bed and Amina left my room, I went to the bathroom and took a bath a brushed my teeth then I came out and went to my walking Closet to pick out my clothes for today, I saw Turquoise silk boubou and I picked it out together with a white scarf cause bro I hate stress, I moisturized my skin and put my undies and put on my boubou first then i sat down on the stool facing my dressing mirror and put eye liner and lipgloss and I tied my scarf and I carried my laptop bag and my phone and I left the room
"Looks like someone is ready to be respected in my office" Nurain said
"Can we like go?" I asked not even meeting an eye with him
"We haven't eaten breakfast or you have eaten in your dream that's why you forgot about breakfast" Nurain said
I ignored him as always and I started heading downstairs then I heard him and Sultan talking
"Looks like you're already making pretty princess angry this early morning" I heard Sultan say
"Pretty princess is just always not in the mood" I heard Nurain say
How will I be in the mood when I hate this marriage, ugh! I went to the dining room and I only saw Nurains brother and his friends
"Looks like we haven't been introduced to each other Sister- in- law" he said coming over to my side
"Oh, I'm Asaal" I said
"Oh and I'm Usman" he said
Then he kept on coming closer to me and I started feeling uncomfortable
"Asaal!" Nurain shouted as he barged into the dining room
"Oh, Brother you're here, so early" Usman said
"I'm taking my wife with me to work, Asaal let's go" Nurain said
He put his hands on my shoulder and we left the dining room
"You have to take me with you when you're going round this house, okay? There are men that want you, and Usman and his friends are one of them, if you can't find me, look for sultan or Faruk" Nurain said
"Okay" I said
"Okay? You won't say thank-
"Nurain we are running late, let's go" I cut him off
I walked out of the house and waited outside for him, when he came we both entered his his Black BMW and left the house
"Asaal is there like anything wrong with you mentally?" Nurain asked
"That's no one's business" i said
"Are you Depressed " Nurain asked
This was the one question I've been avoiding for months now, Fuck! Why did he bring it up
"Umm no" I lied
"Then why do you act like this?" He asked
"Like..."
"Like you don't have feelings, like nothing bothers you " Nurain asked
"Cause I'm like that" I said
"No human being can be like that" Nurain said
"I'm very different from everyone, so please if you could like give my personal space I would be okay" i said
Nurain kept quiet and we were just sitting down in the car while he drove and then finally we reached the office, we came down from the car and he gave the driver the keys to park the car
"Remember, we have to look happy" Nurain said
I held his hand and we entered the building together I saw a lot of people there which gave me some anxiety so I held Nurain tighter, we greeted some people and we finally arrived on Nurains floor
"Congratulations!" A group of Nurains colleagues shouted as the door of the lift opened, I had to keep a smile on my face and we walked out of the lift
"Ahn ahn Nurain this your Amariya is a fine girl now, how fa she get sisters?" One of his colleagues asked
"Abeg Hamza go and sit down you're not serious" Nurain Jokingly said
"Amariya, how is it with this big guy here?" Another one asked
I just smiled and bent my head down

Amariya was just all I was hearing from all directions and i didn't know when I was actually squeezing Nurains arm tightly
"Everyone! Amariya has had a hectic weekend let her rest in my office" Nurain said
Then everyone kept quiet and Nurain took me to his office and I sat down on one of his chairs
"You want tea?" He asked
"Coffee" I said
"At 18?" He asked
"Is there anything wrong?"I asked
"No nothing" he said
"And I'll like to use the toilet" I said
"It's on your left as soon as you leave this department" He said
I stood up and left his office and started going to the toilet then one lady in an Abaya bumped into me
"Watch it!" The lady said
"I'm so sorry, are you okay?" I asked In the most caring way ever
"You literally saw me and you hit me and you're asking me whether I'm okay?!" She shouted trying to obviously cause a scene
"And as I said I'm sorry" I said
"Besides who are you, a new worker here or what?" She asked in a rude manner
"I'm-
"Cause I'm going to make sure you're sacked, and raw silk? to expensive for a worker" she cut me off
"Sorry I think you're talking to the door or the mirror but not me" I said
I turned around and went to the bathroom to calm down, then one of my sister in law Salmaa walked in
"Asaal, you're here!" She said
"Yeah, your brother brought me here" i said
"And why do you look so down? Did any worker say something offensive to you? Tell me so that I'll quickly sack them" she said
"No it's not the workers, I'm not just a social person so I'm trying to adjust to the crowd" i said
"Oh, do you want to leave?" She asked
"No I'm fine, I was just about to head back to Nurains office" i said
"Oh well, good luck with the crowd" she smiled
"Thank you" I said
Then I walked out of the toilet and I went back to Nurains office and I saw the black abaya girl sitting infront of Nurain
"Don't you have no respect? You can't knock?!" She snapped
"That's my wife Zarah! Treat her with respect" Nurain snapped to
"You chose her, why?" She asked
"Looks like I'll go and stay on Salmaa's office this conversation looks personal" i said
"No, it's nothing personal, besides you have every right to know what's going on so sit down" Nurain said
I went to his table and took my laptop bag and brought out my laptop and and my AirPods so that I couldn't hear anything I opened Netflix and I started watching Ann with an e, while I was watching I was still hearing part of their conversation and I couldn't take it cause Zarah was pestering my ears and yeah I had to pretend that I was in love with that frog in front of me so I removed my AirPods and closed my laptop and stood up
"Zarah, could you like leave?" I said
"Who gave you the right to interfere in this matter" Zarah said
"I'm his Wife, I'm his present and you're now his past, uhhh Nurain what do they even call those people that where in your past life, uhhh...
"Ex" Nurain said
"Exactly, Ex, and that word means you don't exist in his life anymore so could you like kindly get up and leave" I said
She looked and Nurain and then looked at me
"Nurain—
"I won't repeat my self darling, get up and leave" I said pointing at the door
She stood up and carried her hand bag and shoved me aside
"Excuse me watch where you're going" I said
Then she turned around and eyed me
"And an Abaya? looks to expensive for an ex" i smiled
She stopped walking and looked at me
"Remember those words?" I asked
"Look I don't know how on earth Nurain got married to you, but just know I'll forever hold a special place in his heart and I'll win him over soon" She said
"Be my guest, be my competition to, but also remember, you're now his Ex and his past and you don't exist " i said
She stormed out off the office and I sat down back on the chair
"Before you say anything, I'm running late for school" i said
"That's true let's go" Nurain said
We both stood up, I packed my stuff and we left the office and we where on our way to school, when we arrived I entered my department block which was law and I saw Ihsan in the class room so I sat down close to her.
