Asaal

After i cancelled my barbecue last week, fati and Hani made sure I did it this week, and that's today Saturday, the event planner is at the back setting everything up and Nurain went to the office an hour ago, I checked the my phone for the time and it was 3 o'clock, shit. Everyone is going to start coming by 4, I went to the backyard to see if everything was going good and surprisingly it was, the decorations were beautiful
"How do you like the decorations?" The event planner asked
"It's beautiful, I love it, keep it up, the guests will be here by 4 so I think they can start frying the small chops?" I said
"Okay no problem, are your staffs in the kitchen so that my staffs can enter?" She asked
"Yes yes, the can go in" i said
I entered the kitchen and spoke to the cooks and the house helps
"Some people are coming here to fry small chops now, bana so in ji wani abu kaman "ba mu ga plate ba, something is incomplete" if not I'll remove it from your salary" I said
"Yes ma" they said
"And please remove the mocktails from the freezer, by 4, people will start coming oya oya" i said
"Asi!" I heard Nurain shouting from the living room
"I'm coming!" I shouted back
"What else? Shikenan ko?" I asked
"Yes ma" they all said
I left the kitchen and went to the living room
"Yes?" I asked
"Hello my love" he said hugging me and kissing my forehead
"Hello to you too, it's almost 4 and everyone will be here" i said
"I know, Jawad called and said he and fati are on their way" he said
"Already? Oh God why does fati always have to be so early?" I said
"Let's just go and start getting ready" he said
We went upstairs and I entered my room and showered, straightened my hair and started doing my makeup, light make up as always, then I put my body humra and put on my purple atampa, it was a gown, straight gown something like a Moroccan kaftan and then I tied my scarf, I sprayed my perfume and I took my purple chantily veil and put it on my shoulder and put on my silver slippers, I went to Nurains room and he was wearing a black kaftan, he looked so nice, like who was he dressing up for
"How do I look?" I asked
"You look extremely gorgeous, are you sure you're not dressing up for someone else?" He asked
"We're the hosts of course we have to look  good" i said
"Right" he said
"Omg I just remembered I had a Polaroid camera, let me go and get it, when fati comes she'd take pictures of us with it" I said
I went to my room and got the camera, on my way back to Nurains room I heard Fatis voice
"Fati? Just the person I've been waiting for, please come upstairs" I said
She made her way up the stairs and she was wearing a green bubu atampa, she looked gorgeous
"You look really nice fati" i said
"You too sis, looking gorgeous!" She said
"Okay come, I need you to take pictures of I and Nurain with my camera" i said giving her my camera
"Sure" she said
I took her to Nurains room he was sitting on the bed he was on a phone call he looked stressed, when he saw me he smiled
"I'll call you back later"  He said
"Are you okay?" I asked
"Yes yes I'm fine" he said
I looked at him
"We'll talk about this later, picture time!" I said
We were standing in front of the bed and then Nurain held me by waist, I put one of my hand on his chest and and one at his back, fati took the picture, we did a few more and kept the pictures in his room, I locked all the rooms and put the keys in our bookshelf, we went downstairs and then we went to the backyard, almost everyone was there, Ihsaan grabbed the the microphone as soon as she saw us
"Hi everyone!" She said
"Hello Ihsaan" they all said
"Today we're here for the wedding barbecue for my wonderful sister Asaal and her husband Nurain, we'd like to thank them so much for hosting us in their wonderful new home, may Allah bless their union and wonderful home from the evil eye of people and we hope to be expecting nieces and nephews soon" ihsaan said
"Ameen!" Everyone said then laughed
"So I'm not your brother ko? I've turned to Asaals husband" Nurain said then they all turned to us
"Finally our hosts are here" Salmaa said
Then we both laughed
"Let's start the barbecue" Nurain said
The DJ started playing music and we had to go to each person to say welcome, when we were done we sat down on the chairs
"You're definitely going to sleep early today" Nurain said
"Says who? We still have to talk" I said
"Are we late for the barbecue or we're early" i heard someone say close to us, I know that voice anywhere anytime, Kabir, I slowly turned my head and he came with tasneem, I knew i shouldn't have invited her, he started shaking everyone and all
"How do we kick him out without causing a scene?" I asked
"I'll talk to Jawad and my friends" Nurain said then he stood up and went to his friends
They both approached me and smiled
"Thank you for inviting us" kabir said
I didn't look at him, I tried to avoid eye contact
"Asi turn around and look at me" he whispered in my ear
"Don't call me Asi" I said with my eyes closed
Then he put his hands on my shoulder, I felt so irritated, I quickly stood up and looked at tasneem and smiled at her
"Thank you for coming tasneem" I said to her
"You're welcome girl" she said
Then I went to where Fati and the rest were, they were all talking about something and I wasn't interested, I went into the house and entered the toilet, and tried to calm myself down, that stupid Kabir, spoilt my mood, then someone knocked on the toilet door
"Occupied, go to the other one" i said
Then the door opened
"I said occupied are you—
I looked up in the mirror and saw Kabir
"Get out" i said
He entered the toilet and locked the door
"Kabir Get out, if not I'll scream" i said
"No one will hear you, they're all outside" he said smiling
He kept on coming closer to me, I grabbed the bottle of soap on the sink and threw it on his head, that didn't stop him
"Kabir leave me alone! Is someone there! Help!" I screamed as loud as possible, I started crying
He started touching me inappropriately, I tried pushing him of, and he didn't stop he held my hands
"Help! Someone! Nurain! Fati! Asaad! someone please!" I kept on screaming
"I'm guessing he has never touched you this way before?" Kabir said disgusting bastard
"HELP! NURAIN! JAWAD!" I shouted
"You're all mine today, and once I'm done with you husband wouldn't want you anymore" Kabir shouted
Then someone tried to open the door
"Asi?" I heard Fati say
"FATI! HELP KA-
He put his hand on my mouth
"Asi?" She said
I tried to scream, I was too weak for Kabir, i kept on trying to fight him, his grip was too strong, then someone started hitting the door, Kabir kept on touching me
"Stop it Kabir!" I cried
Then the door finally broke down
Sultan entered the toilet and punched kabir off me
"Get your filthy hands off my sister you stupid bastard" sultan said punching him
I couldn't move and I saw Nurain standing at the door, I made eye contact with him, I didn't know what to say, Jawad and Asaad had to hold off sultan
"Come close to her again and I'll kill you!" Sultan shouted
Kabir just laughed, he went to the front of the door and looked at Nurain
"Finally did what you couldn't, don't worry-
Nurain slapped him, he started beating him, they tried to hold him off and it didn't work, he was going to kill Kabir
"Nurain you're going to kill him stop!" Salmaa shouted
"He touched my wife! Locked her in the bathroom!" Nurain shouted
"We can take him to the Baracks for soldiers to deal with him, please you have your wife to take care off, she needs your support now" Salmaa said
Then Fati and Hani entered the toilet, I was crying uncontrollably
"Let's take her to her room" Hani said
"Barbecue is over! Everyone thank you and go home!" Salmaa shouted
Fati and Hani took me to my room, I removed my slippers and laid down on my bed, I was still crying
"I want to be alone" I said
"Asi we can't leave you alone" Hani said
"I want to be alone, please" i said
"No" Fati said
"Get out of my room! GET OUT! I want to be left alone! GO, LEAVE" I shouted
"Asi no" Fati said
I stood up from the bed and broke the glass in my room
"It's taking everything in me no to cut myself, if you don't leave I'll cut my self, GET OUT!" I shouted
"Fati let's leave her" hani said
Fati looked at me and i went back on my bed, I need to think properly, I kept on crying and then Nurain entered my room
"I heard you screaming at everyone to leave, I'm not leaving" he said
He came close to me on the bed and I put my head on his lap
"I-I I was just in the toilet trying to calm my self down then, th-that idiot entered the toilet too, I told him to get out then he locked the door, then he started touching me" i said crying heavily
"I swear he's going to pay for everything, I love you so much Asi and I'll always protect you, Always and forever, I'll go through this with you, okay?" Nurain said
I sat up and looked at him, I hugged him tightly and he did the same thing, he released me from the hug and he looked at me, he kissed my forehead, my cheeks and my lips
"No one will ever touch you again in their miserable lives, no man at all" Nurain said
"I have to shower, I can't just think properly, and I really want to cut my self Nurain, crying isn't helping" i said
"No, no cutting, I said we'll get through this together, go and shower, I'll be here in your room waiting for you, I'll stay with you for as long as you want in your room, okay?" He said
I went down from the bed and entered the bathroom to shower, I hate kabir so much! Yet I thought he was my only ex that still had sense, it's so painful to see how someone who loved you like he was going to die do this to you, my wrists are hurting so much from Kabirs grip, I finished taking a shower and I felt relieved a little bit, I changed into my Minnie Mouse pajamas, I and Nurain have matching pajamas, he has the Mickey Mouse version but his is with shorts and mine is a trouser and shirt, I came out from my walk closet and I saw Nurain in the Mickey Mouse pajamas
"How did you know?" I asked
"Know?" He asked
"Our pajamas" I said
"We think alike I guess" he smiled
I gave him a weak smile and went on the bed with him
I laid down on his chest and he was playing with my hair
"I never expected Kabir to do this to me, I'm still shocked" I said
"Why?" Nurain asked
"It's painful to see someone that once looked at you with all gentleness, look at you with... there's this look he gave me I can't just find the word" i said
"That's because he had lost all genuine feelings for you, all he wants is just you, not your love or anything, you, and he knows he can't have you" Nurain said
"Well yes that's because you have me already, Allah ya bar mu tare" i said
"Ameen ameen my Asi" Nurain said
"Can we go to Kano for a week? I don't want to be here" i said
"I'll check my schedule for next week, if there's no meetings then we'll go" Nurain said
"Thank you baby" I said
"Don't sleep, we haven't done magrib and Isha yet" Nurain said
"Mm" i said trying not to sleep off

Maghrib time came and we both prayed together, we ate dinner together and watched young Sheldon until it was time for Isha, we prayed and read the Quran together and did our night Azkar, I told Nurain I wanted to sleep early, I was really tired, he nodded his head and we went into bed together.
