3 Years Later

We moved into our new home about a month ago and finally got everything unpacked and organized. Today we are going to have a housewarming party.

"Petal, where did we put the lighter fluid?" Yoongi shouted from the backyard.

"It should be on the top shelf in the storage shed."

I was busy in the kitchen finishing up the salad when the doorbell rang. It was Namjoon and Malia.

"Hi guys! Thanks so much for coming!" I greeted them with a kiss and a hug.

"Of course. We wouldn't miss a chance to spend time with you guys. The house just isn't the same without you living there," Malia replied.

"We brought a bottle of wine and dessert," Namjoon said, heading for the kitchen.

"Thanks Namjoon. Yoongi is in the backyard trying to start up the grill," I informed him.

While Namjoon went to assist Yoongi, Malia and I sat on the sofa.

"So, how are you liking your new home?" she asked.

"It's wonderful. Especially now since we've finished unpacking everything."

"It's really nice. We do miss having you guys at the house though."

"You both are welcome here anytime. We're family. Officially after you and Namjoon are married next month."

"I know. I'm really excited, but there's still some things left to do for the wedding."

"You know I'm here to help. Whatever you need, just ask."

We heard a faint cry in the distance. I checked the monitor on the end table. Looked like someone was up from her nap. I went to get our daughter, Joy, who was almost two years old.

"Hey sweet pea! Are you done with your nap?" I said while walking over to her crib.

She was reaching for me with grabby hands, "Mamamama!"

"Guess who's here to see you? Aunty Malia and Uncle Joonie!"

She squealed and clapped with delight.

"Let's change and clean you up first."

As soon as we got to the living room, two new guests had arrived. It was Hoseok and his girlfriend, Nabi. She was also from South Korea and here on a work visa. They've been dating for almost two years. She was very kind, a bit of a jokester and loves to dance. We all loved her and were so happy that he found someone to love.

"Look Joy, who's that?" I asked her, pointing at Hoseok.

As soon as she saw him, she wiggled out of my arms and ran to Hoseok. "Unko Hosk!"

He immediately scooped her up in his arms and spun her around leaving wet kisses all over her cheeks. "Hi, Sunflower! How's my special girl?"

I loved his pet name for her. It was a combination of "Sunshine" and "Petal." They both loved and adored each other very much.

"Hi guys! Glad you both could make it," I greeted them.

"Of course! Thanks for having us," replied Nabi, coming over to give me a hug.

"Where are the guys?" asked Hoseok.

"They're in the backyard grilling," answered Malia.

"Come on, Sunflower. Let's go find your daddy," he said, while he danced with her heading to the backyard.

Malia, Nabi and I went to the kitchen to gather the items to set the table outside.

"Hey bros!" greeted Hoseok.
