“Okay, baby.” Jake smiled into the camera. “I’m in my room.”

Bella saw the now familiar picture of a buoy at sea on the screen with him. The picture had a rectangular frame and was mounted on a white wall behind Jake.

From the tour Bella had been given before, she knew that this was a room he shared with Namjoon

From the tour Bella had been given before, she knew that this was a room he shared with Namjoon. In an interview, BTS had once said that Jake had his own room but things had changed since then.

The two shared a love of art and so it was no surprise that to the left side of Jake’s bed was a three-tier organizer filled with odds and ends such as books and pictures.

There was one picture of the group and another one of Bella that Jake had taken that midnight in Moalboal by the light of the supermoon.

She had not been given her cover-up yet and so she was just standing there, looking out into the sea, with her left hand cradling the back of her head.

Bella had loved that picture. It was such a work of art. She couldn’t believe that it was actually her in the photo but then again, with Jake’s talents, he had been able to elevate a simple moment between them into a classic memory for the ages.

The organizer also had unusual mini art pieces that the two art lovers agreed on, which Bella could not identify.

Between their beds was a night stand and a lamp with a mint green cover. Namjoon also had a picture above his headboard, this one of abstract lines.

On the other side of Namjoon’s bed was a tall lamp with a beige cover.  Currently, the glass sliding doors leading out into the balcony had beige blackout curtains.

“Eotteoke Jinae, baby? (How are you, baby?) Are you still nauseated?”

“Jeon gwaenchanayo.  (I’m okay.) The saltines seem to be working.”

“So good to hear that. By the way, can I send my mom those videos later?” Jake asked Bella. “She would go absolutely insane when she finds out her first grandchildren are twins.”

Bella laughed. “Of course, baby! My children deserve to have grandparents who are excited to see them. Plus, your mom is the absolute coolest. Well, scratch that, she’s the second coolest. My bio mom was the absolute coolest, when she was alive.”

Jake blew her a kiss. “I’m sure your mom is watching you now and very proud of you, baby. She would definitely have loved to have half-korean grandchildren.”

Bella laughed again. “Oh, she probably would. She herself was kind of her own United Nations.”

“I wonder what the twins would look like, baby.”

“If they look anything like you, we are screwed. Our son would drive the world insane.” Bella paused for dramatic effect. “What am I doing unleashing a mini Jungkook into the world?”

“Oh stop, baby! Have you seen yourself? I’m pretty sure that our daughter, a mini-Bella, would break so many hearts since her suitors not only have to get my family’s stamp of approval but her six uncles’ approval as well. Heaven knows they won’t give it that easily.”

“As they shouldn’t. My daughter will not need a man to take care of her. I’ll make sure that she can stand on her own two feet. But I would prefer that the twins take after you in the looks department. Especially the curly-haired man-bun muscle bunny, Jungkookie.”

Jake winked. “You like the dangerous-looking Jungkook, don’t you? Don’t worry, baby. I’ll grow my hair long again for you.”

“Baby, I’m talking to a 5’10” buff man who spends at least two hours a day in the gym almost every day. Said man has lightning quick reflexes and the strength of a bear. He has a black belt in Taekwondo and tattoos on his hand of his group’s fandom plus a tattooed sleeve along his arm. I know this man is thinking of getting eyebrow and lip piercings. Remind me again how a man bun makes him dangerous?”

Jake just laughed. “I would hope that both of them get your superior brain, baby. And besides, your ancestry is German, Spanish, Chinese and Filipino. Mine is 100% Korean. So, our children will be 1/8 each of your lineage plus a half of mine. They could have more Korean DNA but they will definitely be as alluring and as charming as their mother.  Fight me on that.”

“I thought I was fighting you on that already.” Bella chuckled.

“Either way, they will be loved a thousand percent. I’m already so excited to meet them." Jake sighed. "I really wish I could be there with you, baby.”

“Baby, we already knew that this relationship was going to test us and our commitment to each other. Just don’t question the circumstances we’re in. What’s important is that we never let go of our faith in each other. Especially now with these two on the way.”

“About that, baby.” Jake cleared his throat. “We have to discuss how I can send you money to help with the bills.”

“Oh, that.”

Jake chuckled. “Yes. That.”

Bella started to say something but Jake cut her off.

“Bella, baby. You have to consider that the twins you are carrying are mine as well. I’m practically going to be an absentee father what with these travel restrictions and all but I plan on being a good provider. You have to allow me at least that.”

Bella looked at him for a few seconds and nodded. “Alright, baby. I have to swallow my pride for the twins. I mean, I’m lucky enough to have a willing partner. At least in this way, we share the load. I carry them and..”

And I pay for everything.” Jake finished for her. “Message me your bank details, baby. I’ll send you a little bit once we end the call. I know you must have already shelled out for the doctors. And you will probably be needing more for vitamins and mommy milk.”

“Mommy milk?” Bella raised her eyebrow.

“Yeah, mommy milk. Namjoon-hyung told me to remind you to always drink your mommy milk.”

Bella chuckled. “Well, that is duly noted and please thank Namjoon-oppa for the reminder. But just so you know, my mommy milk is not banana milk.”

Jake grinned a cute little bunny smile. “You’re turning out to be quite an ARMY too, baby.”

“Well, I am a special kind of ARMY. I get all the insider information from the sources themselves. And to top that, I’m actually extending the BTS bloodline. How many can say that? There might only be seven of us and I’m the first of my kind. Imagine that.”

“The first of your mission to extend the BTS bloodline. You know we’re not stopping at two, right?” Jake teased.

“Oh my god, Jeon Jungkook! At least let me birth these babies first before you ravage me again.”

Jake laughed so hard at the term. “Ravage? Really, baby?”

“Only word I could think of. Sorry, baby” Bella scrunched up her nose and laughed with him. “I went to the mall after the ultrasound today. Took a quick look around of the things that the twins would need. What do you think about getting gender neutral colors, baby? Maybe white or green or yellow? Things I could use interchangeably between the twins? And who knows, if we keep them well, other little Jeons too?”

Jake’s face turned mischievous. “I’m totally on board with that, baby. Gender neutral sounds perfect to me. But more important to this conversation, you do agree that we have to have other little Jeons?”

Bella rolled her eyes. “Didn’t I just say that?”

“Speaking of little Jeons, I see Jeon Kookie in the background. I wonder if there’s a way that I could send little Kookie plushies for the twins.”

Bella smiled at the thought. “Maybe after the twins are born, baby. I imagine international deliveries are a challenge these days.”

Jake nodded. “Okay, baby. I’ll take note of that. About their birth, I wonder if I can be there with you to welcome them into the world. It would be the greatest thing.”

Bella considered her words carefully. Of course, she wanted him to be there. But it was too risky. The BTS brand was growing exponentially and with that, their popularity.
