Bella opened her eyes and stretched languidly on the bed. She reached for her phone to check the time. It was 5pm. She took a minute to register where she was. “Right”, she thought. “I fell asleep earlier after Hobi-oppa and I practiced for about three hours.”
She stood up and got out of bed to find Jake. As she walked down the stairs, she heard voices speaking in Hangul.
As she entered the dining room, she saw them all seated on the floor. She walked slowly until she saw a phone on a tripod in front of them.
Namjoon was the first to see her and he placed his pointer finger on his lips as if to tell her not to say anything. His thumb was on his chin. It was very subtle and almost seemed like he was just thinking of something to say since he looked up to the ceiling.
Jake’s face widened into a bright bunny smile once he saw her and Jin threw a throw pillow at him, breaking that smile. Hobi, who was talking, stammered a little bit but recovered well.
Taehyung sneezed exceptionally loud and brought everyone into bouts of laughter, breaking whatever awkward atmosphere was threatening to descend on them.
Yoongi then said something while looking into the phone. Bella only understood the word “Army”. Jimin was nodding along to what Yoongi was saying.
Bella took off her slippers and tiptoed towards the mobile phone on the tripod. She sat cross-legged on the marble floor. It was clear to see that they were on a VLive.
'So this is how Namjoon-oppa is assuring the company that they are doing well.' She thought to herself. 'This man is a certified genius.'
Their VLive went on for a few more minutes and Bella logged into VLive, watching them both in person and on her device. Her device's volume was turned down.
The white walls made for a great background against the gray marble floor. It was a good angle that betrayed no hints of where they were.
Finally, they waved goodbye and Jimin stood up to end the broadcast. No sooner had Jimin done that when Jake run to Bella and hugged her. She laughed at his eagerness.
“Hey baby!” He kissed her on the lips. She wrapped her arms around his neck and gave him a quick peck back.
“You, Mr Leader, are a genius!” Bella turned to Namjoon and gave him a thumbs up sign.
Namjoon smiled his dimple smile and scrunched up his nose. “You guessed my intentions, baby sis?”
She slow-clapped to him. “Great way to give content to the masses and appease the company at the same time.”
“Good thing we’re all in the same place.” Jake chimed in.
“I’m sure he thought of that already before he even started to look at AirBnBs, baby.” Bella chuckled.
Namjoon just smiled again and shook his head. “Don’t be spilling my secrets to the whole world now, baby sis.”
“Jungkook-ah!” Yoongi suddenly called from the outside. “Time to make dinner. You wanted Samgyeopsal.”
“Coming, Suga-hyung!” Jake replied. He gave Bella one slow kiss and a quick peck before going out the sliding door. “Be back with dinner, baby. Namjoon-hyung, take care of my girl please.”
Namjoon tapped Jake’s shoulder on the maknae's way out. “I got this, Kookie.”
Namjoon motioned for he and Bella to go into the living room. “So baby sis. How are things going with you and Jungkook?”
