Corie's Point Of View
I took a blanket from the bunk and wrapped it around my shoulders, then taking a seat next to Melina.
"What movie are we watching?" I asked her.
"I think we're watching Annabelle," Melina said. "But I really want to watch the Last Song."
I snuggled more into my blanket. "I really want to watch Love, Rosie."
"What is it about?"
"I don't know, that's why I want to watch it."
The cabin door opened and Shawn walked in, taking a seat next to Hailey. I rolled my eyes and turned back over to the TV.
The opening credits started to show, then the title.
"Well, I guess we're watching Annabelle." Melina whispered to me as she was eating her smore.
▬
After watching the two movies, everyone started to clean up.
I got up and stretched, "what a hell of a night."
Melina laughed and picked up the empty bag of marshmallows. "Maybe for you." I glared at her and walked outside towards her car.
"Corie!"
I turned around and saw Hailey running to me.
"No," I mumbled to myself before she appeared next to me. "What's up?"
Hailey sighed. "Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I just− I just thought you wouldn't want to know." She shoved her hands in the back of her pockets. "I feel terrible for not telling you, and I feel even more terrible that I had to by a stupid drinking game and−"
"Hailey," I interrupted her. "It's okay, just forget about it. I'm fine," I smiled.
Her facial expression went from stressed to relieved. She let out a breath of air, "thank god. I thought you were mad−"
I interrupted her by slapping her straight across the face.
She gasped and clutched her cheek, giving me a horrified look.
"I said forget about it, I never said I wasn't mad."
I turned back around and saw Melina waiting for me in the car.

Shawn's Point Of View
I threw the last pile of trash into the bin and looked around for Hailey.
She came up to me, looking annoyed and tired. I noticed that her right cheek was bright red, and her left was fine.
"Hey, are you−"
"I'm− okay. I just want to go home," Hailey said and folded her arms across her chest. "Can we leave?"
I raised an eyebrow and shrugged my shoulders. "Fine, let's go."
I didn't bother to ask her anything else, if she wanted to be alone then I'll leave her alone. I dropped Hailey off at her house without a word and drove back to mine.
"How was your date?" Aaliyah asked me as soon as I came inside.
"Wh− It wasn't a date! I was hanging out with other friends." I said and walked upstairs.
"What about Corie? Was she there?"
"Piss off, Aaliyah." I said before I slammed my door shut.

Corie's Point Of View
I woke the next morning with a smile planted on my face. I know that most of the night wasn't that fun, but at least I got to slap Hailey in the face.
I threw my blankets off myself and jogged downstairs to making some eggs, waffles, bacon, and coffee for my mom and I. I finished the two plates and poured the coffee into the mugs.
"You're up early."
My mom walked in with her bright blue robe. She yawned and immediately grabbed the coffee.
"Yeah, I just felt like it." I smiled and handed her one of the plates.
She laughed and we both began eating. My mom darted her eyes towards my hair and began examining it.
"Honey, has your hair always been like this?" She asked me and started touching it.
I looked at her and then at my hair. "Ever since Sophomore year."
My mom scrunched up her nose and sat back down in her seat. "We should dye it today."
"What? Mom! I think my hair is perfectly fine," I said and examined a strand of it. "I like this color."
"Sometimes you've got to do things you don't want to do," She said and placed her plate in the sink. "It looks plain, and I don't know− the same. You don't wanna switch it up?"
I sighed and handed her my plate. "What color should I dye it?"
"Whatever suits you," My mom answered and poured more coffee into her cup. "I think any color will look great on you."
"When do we dye it?"
"Right now." She smiled and got out a few dyes from the cabinet.
"How many of those are expired, Mom?"
▬
"My scalp is burning. I think I'm dying," I said as my mom put a shower cap on my head.
She scoffed and removed her gloves. "You're perfectly fine, it just feels like that at first. Or maybe it just feels like that because you didn't shower last night."
I groaned and looked at the hair dye on the floor. "Mom! Look at this mess!" I widened my eyes and slapped my forehead, "I sound like you."
She laughed and started to clean everything up. "If you mean that you sound like someone awesome, then you should be proud that you sound like me."
I looked at my reflection and practically threw up a little in my mouth. "When can I take this off?"
"In about−" My mom trailed off and looked at the box. "Two hours."
I unlocked my phone and sighed, "just great."

Shawn's Point Of View
"Thank you, sir! Have a great day."
I nodded my head and handed Hailey her ice cream.
She laughed, "thank you sir."
"You're very much welcome, madam." I joked. I looked at Hailey's cheek and saw that it was still pretty red.
"Anyways," I said. "It's been awhile since we've been home. I can barely remember the way here from home."
"I passed by our school today and I have to admit that I wanted to burst into tears," Hailey said and giggled. "Every memory just− slapped me in the face."
I smiled and looked down at my feet. "I mean, half of high school I was a nerd. But, yeah I kinda miss it."
Hailey groaned and furrowed her eyebrows. "Speaking of high school memories..."
I saw a familiar looking face walk towards us. "Oh, fuck."
"Hi, Shawn!" She chirped.
"Hey, Anika."
