"I don't even want to go!"
Kacey whined as I plugged in my straightener. I rolled my eyes, I know I'm forcing her and that's mean, but I can't show up alone and her ditching me would be also mean. Either way we're both mean. I told her to hold still as I did her hair. I plugged in my curler and curled my hair instead, since I already had it straight.
"Hey, after we go to Luke's house can we go to Johnny Rockets? It's like right there," Kacey asked.
"No. There's food at the party," I said. I looked through my suitcase and put on a shirt, jeans, and converse– I threw on a black denim jacket just incase it was cold.
"I'm not wearing heels, I'm gonna fall," Kacey nodded her head no. I picked out an outfit for her and threw it at her face. She scoffed and put it on, looking into the mirror and widened her eyes.
"I look like a hooker!" Kacey yelled. She was wearing a black cropped lace top with jeans and converse. I sighed and told her to put on a plain white shirt and blue jeans, hoping it would please her.
I grabbed my bag, or purse as Kacey calls it, and I walked outside to the car. Kacey ran after me, almost tripping, and got into the car.
I looked around the street where Luke's house was, I saw an extremely large house with people coming in back and fourth. The place was a mess, red cups everywhere, trash, and people sleeping on the lawn.
"Let's go back home," Kacey whispered. I parked on the lawn, making sure I wasn't parking on a person, and got out of the car. Kacey quicky ran behind me and clung to my arm. I kicked open the door and the music was blasting; girls and guys were making out and people were smoking. Great party.
"I think I'm going to die," Kacey whispered. I walked over to the backyard but someone crashed into me.
"Hey watch out!" I yelled over the music. The guy turned around, it was the same person that handed me the flyer for the party.
"Oh sorry," He said. He looked at us and raised an eyebrow. "Are you two freshmans?"
Kacey and I nodded at the same time.
"I'll show you guys around here, what do you say? I'm Calum," The guy said.
"No thanks," I said.
"We'd love to! Come on Corie!" Kacey pulled on my arm.
"I'm fine. You go," I shrugged her off.
"But Corie−"
"It's alright, maybe Luke can show her," Calum put his arm around Kacey. She blushed as she walked away. My phone dinged.
From: Kacey
FaceTime meI ignored it and walked around the house, there was nothing to do. I grabbed a bottle of water and stood by myself in the kitchen.
"Corie, Corie, Corie."
I looked up from my phone to see Dave. I walked away, but he pulled my arm, making me face him.
"What's wrong princess?" Dave smirked. I tugged my arm back and walked to the living room.
"Come on Anderson don't be like that−"
"Hey! Don't bother her, Franco."
Veronica pushed Dave back, he gave up and walked away. I smiled at Veronica, mouthing a 'thank you.'
"Wanna hang out with us?" She asked.
"Like I have any one else to," I said and followed her. She led me into the hallway upstairs with her friends.
