"Don't be so nervous."

I sighed and fixed my shirt for the third time and looked at the mirror. My outfit didn't look very appealing, I was wearing black jeans, a shirt, and a jacket– the douche outfit.

"Hurry up, you're gonna be late," Taylor told me and started pushing me towards the door.

"Wait! I forgot the flowers," I said and went back to my bed to get the bouquet of roses.

Taylor took them from my hand and picked out one rose, then handing it back to me. He tossed the rest of them back on the bed.

"Why−"

"You're late!" Taylor shouted and shoved me into the hallway.

I mumbled something under my breath, and started walking over to Hailey's room.I cleared my throat and knocked on the hard wood, holding the one rose behind me.

Hailey unlocked the door and smiled, she was wearing a bright red dress and heels.

"You ready?" I asked her and handed the rose. She blushed, taking it and closing the door.

"Yeah," Hailey smiled. We walked down to the lobby and waited for the taxi driver. While we were waiting, Hailey and I started talking.

She laughed at what I said and sighed. "I didn't know what to think of you, Shawn Mendes."

"What?"

"Well, at first I thought you were some nerd dating my best friend," Hailey said. "But now, I think you're a pretty cool guy."

"Really? Just cool?" I asked her. She laughed and shrugged her shoulders.

"What do you want me to say?"

"That I'm sexy," I joked. Hailey bursted out in laughter, clenching her stomach. The taxi driver arrived and honked the horn.

I opened the door for Hailey and she got in, with me following after.

"Where to?" The driver asked.

Hailey looked over at me. I was pending if I wanted to go to dinner first, or if I should take her somewhere else.

"Where's the nearest Open Mic?" I asked him.

"If that's where your headed then," He said and started driving.

"Shawn−" Hailey started.

"It's alright, we'll go after," I assured her and took her hand. Her shoulders relaxed and she smiled.

I paid the taxi fee and we got out of the car. I looked inside the building window and saw that someone was playing the piano.

"Come on," I said and led her inside.

"Welcome, welcome! Here to enjoy the free music?" A lady said. I smiled and nodded, making my way to a table.

I waited until the person was done playing his piano. I got up and got onto the stage, looking for a guitar.

"Looking for something, sir?" The lady asked me.

"Is there a guitar here?"

"No, you have to bring your own instrument, that's why it's free," She answered.

"Oh," I said and returned back to my seat.

Hailey laughed at me as I sat down. I sighed and glanced around the room, I saw an opened door and a guitar at the corner of the room.

"Follow me," I whispered over to Hailey. She widened her eyes and quickly got up. I made sure that the lady wasn't looking, and took the guitar, then exiting out the opened door.
