Shawn's Point of View

People in New York were so friendly.

That's why I asked a random guy to buy me 2 packs of beer if I paid him off.

Now awake, you're probably wondering how I got here. I don't know either.

My head was pounding and the first thing I did was rush to the bathroom to throw up all the beer and one muffin I ate last night.

After Corie basically blew me off, I had no motivation to do anything besides sit alone and think.

There wasn't much thinking because I passed out from jet lag, it's a new day though so we're not going to think much about yesterday.

Shawn, there were some important details I left out before we said goodbye yesterday. Can you text me what time you want to meet up? —Corie

"Speaking of the devil," I muttered and texted back.

2 o'clock at the same campus entrance. —Shawn

My flight to Los Angeles was at 8 o'clock tonight, I had time to myself.

What time was it?

1 o'clock.

My body flung itself out of bed before my soul could follow and I finished showering and getting ready in 30 minutes. I stepped out of the hotel building, but before I could call a cab, a girl with red curly hair caught my attention.

She glanced at me and winked, prompting me to follow her and start a conversation.

Corie's Point of View

"Wait—"

Luke and I pulled away from each other, staring in disbelief over what happened.

"I think we shouldn't be doing this— not that it wasn't good. We're not thinking straight and we shouldn't do anything that will ruin our friendship," Luke said and fixed his hair.

I nodded, "yeah. I don't know why I didn't that.. Let's just get home."

"Where's Cal?"

We got up from the patio couch and back into the house, which was starting to empty out. Calum and Kacey were no where to found, so we began to ask around.

"They asked to stay the night," One of Sam's friend said, "they were too drunk to even walk. Y'all can stay too, you don't look too good."

"Thanks," Luke gave him one of those handshakes and Sam's friend led us to one of his spare rooms.

"I'm gonna wash up," I yawned and made my way to the bathroom.

I looked awful.

I always did, just more than I usually do. The cold water splashed my face and brought me back to reality for a little as I washed off all the oil and dirt.

Luke was already passed out on the bed. Proceeding to remove my shoes, I sighed and got in with him.

His face looked so worried free and relaxed while he was asleep, the sound of his breathing started to make me drowsy.

Oh, right.

I couldn't sleep with a bra on— Luke wouldn't mind or notice. I took it off and threw it on the ground, sighing in relief.
