Shawn's Point Of View

I threw the last baseball and knocked down the last three bottles.

"Congratulations, Sir! Would you like the teddy bear or the unicorn?" A man asked.

I pointed at the bear. "The bear."

He took it down from the hanger and gave it to me. I smiled and turned around, giving it to Corie.

She laughed and gave me confused look. "Shouldn't you be giving this to your girlfriend?"

I shrugged my shoulders, "She likes unicorns."

We both laughed as we walked around the city. It was something our town held every holiday. It was like a fair, but it only had gaming booths and shop put up. We didn't get to do this last year, probably because we were stupid and didn't think it would be fun just because all they had were gaming booths. We also didn't have money to gamble on stuffed animals.

"Guys, I just won a monkey!" Cameron yelled. He looked over at Corie's life sized bear and his expression fell.

She looked at it and back at Cameron. "It's just a bear, Cam."

He sighed and walked away, probably to another booth to win a bear. We exchanged smiles and started walking to check out the other booths.

"Look at that dragon!" Corie pointed at the booth to her right. "I'm gonna win it."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "I don't like dragons."

"I'm not winning it for you."

I jerked my head back in surprise and laughed. "Thanks for putting that straight."

Corie laughed as she handed the booth person five dollars. "I'll buy you a funnel cake."

I smiled and patiently waited for her to finish the game. I was glad Corie and I were friends, I didn't have to spend time worrying about how she was.

But now I had Hailey to worry about.

I texted her this morning if she wanted to come, but she said she had to spend time with her family. Which might be an excuse for "I'm mad, don't talk to me."

Corie came up next to me, holding up her blue stuffed dragon. "My roommate is going to love this."

"Crazy roommate that doesn't like me?" I asked.

"She's not crazy," Corie said. "Not all the time," She laughed. We walked around a couple more times and realized that we already had enough stuffed animals to carry.

Our little tour came to a stop on a nearby benched so I could eat my funnel cake.

"I miss eating these," I said before I stuffed more of the cake in my mouth.

"I can tell," Corie said. She looked the other way and saw Johnson, along with Mahogany, walking. "Hey is it alright if I catch up with Johnson? I'll come back before festival is over."

"Sure, I'll find Taylor," I said. Corie got up and walked next to Mahogany.

I got up and threw away the left overs of my food and pulled out my phone. I felt a slight push, which caused me to move forward a little. I turned around and saw Hailey, holding a bag of cotton candy.

"Hey you made it," I smiled and gave her a quick peck on the cheek.

Hailey grinned. "I know, I convinced my parents that I would spend all day tomorrow."
