Corie's Point Of View

"I fucking hated this school."

I took another bite of my donut and laughed at what Melina said. We were parked in the school parking lot, sitting at the trunk of Melina's car and watching other people drive by. Music from my phone was playing faintly in the background as we talked.

"Seriously, the teacher sucked ass." She said. "But, I give props to them for helping me graduate."

I nodded my head and took my coffee cup, bumping it against hers.

"I would get detention almost every single day," I said. "And I still had my scholarship with me."

"Didn't you get Shawn's scholarship taken away because you went to jail?" Melina asked me and dipped her donut in her coffee.

"No," I said. "I was in jail while he got his scholarship taken away," I corrected her. "Stupid Anika."

"Why did he get his scholarship taken away, again?" Melina questioned.

"Because we went to Disneyland-"

"You went to Disneyland on a school day?" Melina widened her eyes.

I rolled mine, "yes. Didn't I tell you this?"

"Yeah you did, I just wanted to see if you remembered it." Melina smirked. I scoffed and threw a donut at her.

"Hey! I bought that," She yelled and picked it up. "Well, at least you didn't slap me."

"Hey!" I repeated. "If I punched her then Shawn would hate me even more than he does now, slapping was my only option."

Melina laughed and placed the dirty donut in an empty bag. "Shawn doesn't hate you."

I sighed and shrugged my shoulders, "he obviously doesn't love me anymore."

"Hailey didn't officially say that she was dating Shawn," Melina said. "I asked her, and she said that they weren't."

I shook my head and unlocked my phone.

"You could still get him back-"

"I tried," I said. "And, I'm tired of trying."

"It's Thanksgiving break. We have a week until everyone leaves home, or probably less than that, and you've only tried once." Melina added. "If you can't get him back as your boyfriend that get him back as your friend."

I paused and thought about it. Shawn and I were never friends. I mean, we were boyfriend and girlfriend, but we were never just friends.

"Yeah," I nodded. "Friends."

Shawn's Point Of View

"So? How's the celeb life, guys? The concerts, the parties, the fans."

I sighed in annoyance. It's been hours and Anika was still sitting here, with us, talking.

"It's been nice," Hailey looks over at me. I looked at her and realized it was my turn to talk.

"Oh! Yeah, the concerts are amazing. The fans are the best part though. They've supported us through everything, since the beginning. Without them-" I paused. "I would just be a kid in love.."

Anika smiled. "You guys both changed. You're different."

I nodded, "you're still the same." Her face annoyed the hell out of me.
