Corie's Point Of View

"Yeah, it was pretty fun I mean, it was Prom."

I was talking to Kacey on FaceTime while I packed for my flight back to New York. Everyone said their goodbyes this morning, which was very tearful, but we all got over it soon.

"I can't believe you didn't go to the actual Prom," Kacey said. She already arrived to our dorm a few hours ago, and I've been talking to her ever since.

"I did!" I exclaimed. "Last night."

Kacey sighed. "That doesn't count!"

"It's better than no Prom at all," I laughed and zipped up my suitcase. "Hey, I'll text you when I get to the airport okay? I'm leaving."

"Have a nice flight!" Kacey said before she hung up. I carried my suitcase downstairs and saw that my mom was waiting for me.

"This is like leaving for college on the first day again," My mom said as we walked to the car.

"Expect it won't be as bad this time, right?" I asked her.

My mom laughed. "Let's hope not."

Shawn's Point Of View

I sighed and threw my luggage into the car. Ever since last night, I just haven't been myself. Maybe because my girlfriend broke up with me.

"Bye Shawn!" Aaliyah said and ran up to give me a hug. "Make sure to come back soon."

I laughed and tightened my grip, then giving her a kiss on the cheek. "I will, see you soon."

I got into the passenger seat and buckled myself in, leaning my head against the window.

"Okay, we got everything?" My mom asked me and started to the car.

I didn't respond, which made her curious.

"What happened?" My mom questioned.

"Hailey broke up with me," I said. I was still starting at the window, watching us move forward every second.

My mom sighed. "Well," She started. "It's not like it's the end of time or anything, right? I'm sure you've had crushes that never liked you back, and you've dealt with that. One day, you're going to meet a girl, who treats you the way you deserve to be treated."

I glanced over at my mom and smiled a little, she always knew how to cheer me up. "Thanks, Mom."

She smiled and turned left, "And as for Corie.."

I rolled my eyes and went back to my previous position.

"You're falling for her again, aren't you?" My mom asked me.

I didn't want to reply. I didn't want to admit it. All of this time, I was trying to forget about her, just to start liking her again?

"If you don't want to be with her, that's fine. But you'll always find your way back to her," My mom said.

Corie's Point Of View

I got out of the car and picked up my bags, which weren't that much.

"Here you go," My mom said and handed me my ticket. "Have a nice flight."

I looked at my mom and saw that her eyes were watery.
