"Two broken souls scarred with the wounds from their demons, playing a dangerous game of trust and love."
____
A knock on her door had Natara's eyes moving from the wall she'd been staring at to the source of the noise. Her eyes narrowed as she went over the possibilities of who it could be.
"Dinner's ready if you want some."
Her expression changed instantly and her features smoothened out at the sound of the voice. She sat up, stretching and relaxing her muscles before walking to her door. Her hair swung lightly from the air as she opened it quickly. "What's on the menu?"
Wanda smiled and stepped back, Natara exiting her room and closing the door behind herself. "I think the guys ordered Chinese." She heard Natara hum, seemingly satisfied with their choice while her eyes took Natara in. The blonde seemed to have more energy.
Natara ignored Wanda's gaze and continued towards the lounge. Her hands rested in her pockets, keeping her fingers warm.
"You look better," Wanda stated, her eyes leaving Natara.
"Took a nap."
Wanda smiled softly, giving a silent nod. They turned the corner and the smell of food hit them. "I'm starving."
"That makes two of us." Straightening her spine and pushing her shoulders back, Natara entered the lounge which was also used as a dining area. She saw Steve look up at their entry.
"Food's through there," He pointed.
Wanda gave a quick nod and smile before turning to see Natara already headed in the direction Steve had pointed out.
She walked in and was met with the sight of Natara scanning the food carefully, using the same intensity she wore when assessing people. "Anything good?" Wanda asked
Natara let out an absent hum before coming to a decision of what she wanted. She grabbed a plate and started dishing up.
With all the food she wanted now on her plate she looked to Wanda who also seemed to be finishing up. "You know how to use chopsticks?"
Wanda looked up and shook her head so Natara grabbed two sets before walking over and handing her a pair.
"I'll teach you."
________
Nat watched closely at Natara and Wanda's interactions. Her eyes traveled everywhere as she tried to think of when they'd become friends. As far as she'd known, Natara had still wanted to kill the girl. Seems things had changed.
They hadn't spoken again since their gym session a few hours ago. Nat hadn't even seen Natara since. She'd been thinking of ways to make conversation or be in a situation where she could talk to the blonde before she'd finally realized she could use their language session. But she didn't know whether Natara still wanted to even teach her Arabic and learn Latin.
The blonde seemed to have changed a lot over the past few weeks and Nat wasn't too sure where they stood after everything. She'd bring the topic up later.
________
Natara smiled as she watched Wanda finish her food, having successfully used chopsticks after she'd shown her how.
