"Nothing ever ends poetically. It ends and we turn it into poetry. All that blood was never once beautiful. It was just red."
______
Twelve years. She hadn't heard anyone speak Arabic in twelve years. Not since she was eleven. And the fact that it was Natasha of all people to speak it, even just a sentence. Natara couldn't think straight. She'd never have thought that hearing the language again would affect her. Afterall, she herself had spoken it several times over the years. But it did affect her. A lot.
The chaos around her had Natara forcing it out of her mind and refocusing.
"Can we hurry it up!" She shouted, herding people towards the 'lifeboats'. "Let's move!" She hadn't been fully listening to the conversations happening through their comms but at Tony's last line she was drawn into the conversation.
"Avengers, time to work for a living."
They were getting paid? Numbers floated through Natara's head as she thought about their paycheck. It must be a hell of a lot. She took a breath as she surveyed her surroundings. She was far from the others. Taking a deep breath that burned her exhausted lungs, Natara took off at a jog.
"Romanoff, you and Banner better not be playing hide the zucchini."
Natara's disgusted face quickly feel as she narrowly missed being crashed into. Her blade landed in the robots body soon after, forcing its head off its shoulders.
"Relax shell head, not all of us can fly."
Natara turned quickly as a loud and destructive sound approached. She turned to see a yellow construction vehicle headed her way, literally driving through the robots in its path. In fact, it seemed to be purposefully aiming for them. Nataras head tilted as she watched, impressed.
The vehicle stopped near her and a familiar redhead stuck her head out. Natasha smirked. "Need a ride?"

"What's the drill?" Nat asked as both her and Natara joined the others. Tony turned to her, blasting a robot.
"This," Tony pointed at the core, "is the drill. If Ultron gets a hand on the core we lose."
Natara took in the information with a firm nod, her attention directed to the sound of smashing and overall destruction. Her eyebrows lifted up at the sight of Hulk. She decided she preferred this version to the doctor. A lot.
They all stood together, guarding the core and Thor called out. "Is this the best you can do?!"
Natara turned to him with genuine incredulity. She hadn't watched many movies in her lifetime but she'd watched enough to know what a stupid statement that was. She readied herself both mentally and physically as Ultron raised his hand.
Her legs wanted to give out as she watched hundred of robots headed towards them. She was exhausted and probably injured. The only thing keeping her going was adrenaline.
"You had to ask," Steve sighed.
Natara turned to Thor whilst nodding, her arms out. She had newfound realization on her face. "I'm going to kill you," She stated.
Ultron raised his arms. "This is the best I can do. This is exactly what I wanted. All of you against all of me. How can you possibly hope to stop me?"
"Like the old man said," Tony replied, sharing a look with Steve. "Together."
"Well I actually thought about coming to an agreement and-" Natara started. A deafening roar interrupted her, released from the Hulk. She now changed her mind, decided she didn't like Banner or the Hulk.
