26: ᴄᴏᴍᴘʟᴇx ʏᴇᴛ ꜱɪᴍᴘʟᴇ

The time spent by Lorraine was actually pretty fun. Althea felt at ease being able to act herself with her two closest people. 

Occasionally she'd fake a bathroom trip to check on the boys or take them some food. She did notice that Lucas seemed more observant of her movements and tried to be as discreet as possible.

She noticed how his eyes would sometimes dart to Lorraine's bedroom and constantly told the boys to be quiet whenever she checked in. Her and Lorraine would keep an eye out for him whenever he went to the kitchen for snacks or had a spontaneous bathroom break. 

Speaking of bathroom breaks, her stomach's been grumbling for some time and she's actually had to go to the bathroom in her frequent trips. But the thing is, the first few times, she actually threw up a bit. The rest were just dry heaves and she felt weaker every time. 

'I should drink more water...'

Lorraine was too busy fooling around or watching Lucas to notice her condition but her brother saw through her after her fifth trip. 

"You okay?" He asks worried. "You're in the bathroom a lot today..."

"Yeah...stomach's just bubblin' lil bit since ine eat. I straight tho."

"Want some Fever grass tea?"

"Sure..."

Lucas ruffles her hair and goes to the kitchen to make the tea. Lorraine went off to check on the boys and Althea decides she'll do the same. Lucas is busy with the tea anyway and it should only take about a minute. 

She walks to Lorraine's bedroom and once again her vision blurs as weakness spreads through her body. She would've fallen had she not caught herself and she clears her throat before continuing her journey to the room. With a firm hand on the wall in case she falls again. 

Every step makes her dizzier and her vision's blending together. She slaps her cheek to clear the fuzziness and pokes her head in the room. Changbin's the first to greet her and waves jovially. Jisung, Felix, and Jeongin bound up behind him and Althea has to close her eyes as they drag her inside. 

"Y'all straight in here?"

"It's a bit boring since there's no TV so we've just been talking while Chan works on tracks," Jisung states. 

"We played Monopoly but..." Felix glances at the mess of game money and cards on the floor. "Jisung got triggered once Hyunin started winning."

"He stole from the bank!"

Changbin quickly shushes the rapper and Althea shakes her head as the noise rattles her senses. 

Lorraine's chatting with Hyunjin and Seungmin as the other idols talk amongst themselves. Althea's eyes land on Bang Chan who's hunched over Lorraine's laptop with a focused look. His brows are pinched together and his fingers fly across the keyboard. The headphones he wears omits any interruptions from his work and Althea's....actually fascinated with him in that moment. 

He looks good focused. But she knows being hunched over like that will only hurt his back so she should probably snap him out of that.

As Althea takes another step, her vision blurs drastically and her body suddenly feels heavy. Her feet miss their next step as a result of the sudden weight. She feels her eyes rolling to the back of her head as her body suddenly tilts to the side. Gravity pulls her down as her weakness clutches the edges of her consciousness and drags it down to the abyss. 

She lands on something firm but soft and blinks her eyes slightly to get a blurry view of a familiar face. Her mouth tries to form words but the fatigue from her body snatches her capability.
