Please vote and comment. Apologies for the delay. A lot was going on this month.

Thankfully Camila was stopped before she could go through with her plan but it took a great deal of convincing. Like Lucas, she too spewed curses in Spanish and paced about the room with a chancleta. The rifle sits on her bed untouched but Althea makes sure to put it back in the closet incase Camila gets any ideas.

When Camila finally calmed down enough to stand still, she encouraged Althea to be the one to tell her father about everything. The thought alone nearly caused her to go into an anxiety attack with all the outcomes she imagined but she knew keeping her father in the dark wouldn't be a wise thing to do.

Chan offered to sit with her the whole time but she wanted to try having the conversation on her own.

"Sweetheart....how could you not tell me this?" The hardest part was that she can hear the hitch in his breath. Like he was holding back tears.

"Dad...I'm sorry but...I didn't wan be the reason you lost ya happiness again."

"Honey youse my happiness first and foremost. You ga always be the most important person in my life. If something's botherin' you, I gotta know. You supposed to trust ya parent to take care of you. Hearing this....honestly I feel like I failed as a father..."

"Dad no!" Althea shales her head frantically. "Don't say dat! You've done so much. Dis on me. I'm the one who didn't confide in you. Both with Lucas and Leon. It ain't ya fault."

"Sweetheart, dis ain't ya fault either. Whether or not I stayed with Camila shouldn't have stopped you from talkin' to me bout dat issue. If someone's botherin' you, come to me. If you need help, I'm here. God gave chiren parents to guide them. Allow me to do my job. Don't let any of ya fears ever convince you otherwise yeah?" Althea bites her lip and forces her tears back. She's cried enough to last a lifetime. "Sweetie I needa hear you."

"Yeah...I gatchu."

"You know I love you right?"

"Yeah. Love you too."

"Good. Now if you excuse me, I needa find a way home. Tell ya mum to wait till I get back to skin dat lil bitch nigga alive."

"DAD NO-aaaaand he hung up..."

As expected, her parents want to murder Leon. While she's happy they're not angry at her for hiding her abuse, she's anxious that once everyone found out they'd do something drastic. The last thing she wants is for her parents, Lucas, or Lorraine to end up in jail due to attempted homicide. Even if Leon deserves it, they don't deserve jailtime for trying to fight her long-standing battle.

Although it was stressful to have everyone find out, it's an immense weight off her shoulders. So much so, that sometimes she doesn't know what to do with herself.

The conversation with her father happened five days ago. He's called and texted much more in that short time period and she feels like this'll be a repeat of when he found out about her suicide attempt. But at least it was a good distraction from Leon trying to contact her. And whenever her father or everyone else wasn't taking her attention, Bang Chan would be kind enough to help her ignore Leon's calls.

It's different to ignore Leon now that she has an actual purpose for not answering his calls. And with the purpose being the inevitable end of their relationship, Althea feels like it puts more pressure on her to not contact or think about him at all. Not to mention her family demanding that she give them her phone if she can't stand to ignore him. Of course she nearly cussed them out and kept it in the end.
