Chapter 11: Hope

They walked in and go to her side. She had bruises on her face and arms, cuts along her right hand the stopped midway up her arm and her left foot was in a cast.

"That could have been me" Laura cried and turned to Ashton burying her face into his chest.

"She did it for us. She almost died for us" Michael said looking down at her.

"Someone talk to her, I'll break down if I say anything" Kelly said sitting down at nearby chair. Michael joined her.

"I'll do it" Luke said walking over to her and looked down at her "I wish I tried harder to stop you. But if I did, we probably would have ended up here anyway. You traded places with Laura, so if you ended up like this she would have too. I don't care if they're here and I'm never going to get to say this to you when you're awake. So here it goes" Luke took a deep breath. "I love you Jess, I've always have. From the minute I met you back in 2nd grade. You were the only person to be nice to me and didn't call me weird. Well you do that now, but it always mean something good coming from you. You helped me make the friends I have today. Even if one of them hates me" He laughs to himself. "I'm sorry for what I did, I still know you'll never forgive me for it. I just want you to know that I couldn't ask for a better best friend than you. I hope you awake soon." He leans down and kissed her forehead then goes to sit down next to his friends.

"I'll go next" Michael said, he got up and walked over to Jess. "Ok, so I know we aren't that close, but you're like a sister to me. We basically grow up together when, I met Ash in kindergarten like you met Cal. Four of us in the same class. I didn't know you where Ashton sister until first grade when I finally came over. I remember in kindergarten at recess I was bouncing a ball with Ash and I hit him in the head cause he wasn't paying attention. I walked over to him I saw him staring at you, well I didn't know that was you then. You were trying to do the monkey bars or something and fall on top Calum. Who I think was helping you, but faulted. I thought I was kind of funny. Anyway, please wake up. We all know you did it to save us, but now you need to save yourself" Michael ended.

"You guys are talking to her like she's dying" Kelly cried.

"Right now it feels like she is" Michael said back.

"I'll go" Kelly said "And I will not acting likes she dying" She walked up to Jess "Jess please wake up, I know you can hear us. I don't know what they did to you, but you have to fight it. You're going to make it. We can't lose you."

Laura came up to Kelly and hugged her. "Jess, I want to say thank you, you saved me from this. But I also feel sorry, this should have never happen to you. I know you're not dead, but from here it dose. But look on the bright side we're back. We remember everything, even if things did get bad" Laura waited for a responds. "I feel like you would say something to make us laugh right now, I'm-I'm going to sit down. I don't know what less to say"

Laura sat down next to Ashton and pushed him out of his seat "Ok, fine"

"She's your sister, she looks dead talk to her" Laura said.

'Alright' he mouths. He walked up to Jess, he turned around to Kelly sitting in his seat now. "Ok" He takes one more look at Jess before speaking. "I told Calum that I didn't want to lose you when he went after you, but he comes back with Luke and was told you were gone and not coming back. Right now, I can't even. I love you Jess, you want me or us to be happy and look what happen. You basically helped everyone be with someone. You find someone too" Ashton looked over at Calum.

"If you start talking like she going to die, I'm leaving I can't do this" Kelly said running out of room.

"It's ok, I'll go get her" Michael said getting up and going out the door.
