Chapter 21: Gone Forever

(Michael's P.O.V)

"Calum just got hit by a car!" Luke said.

"WHAT?!"

We all ran out and the paramedics were already taking Calum into the ambulance. Jess was standing there not moving watching everything.

Ashton got the car, we all got in, well Luke carried Jess in, and I think she in shock of what she just saw happen.

"So what happened?" I asked.

"We were coming out to get the car, Calum told us to wait here while he gets it, there wasn't any cars on the road when he was crossing, I was talking to Jess, when I notice her eyes widen and I turned around. A car was speeding towards him, Jess screamed out his name, but it was too late. Next thing we knew the car smashed into him, he hit the ground hard, I told her to call 911, and I ran inside to get you guys" Luke told us.

Whoa. I hope Calum okay, we don't need him gone. It was quite for a while, next thing we knew Jess broken down crying, she was sitting on Luke lap, I watch as he brought her closer to him. He started whispering something to her, she nodded, and then she cuddled into him.

"Is she okay?" I asked.

"She'll be fine, I hope" He said. We arrived at the hospital and we all got out. We ran to the front desk.

"Calum Hood?" I asked.

"I'm sorry, you can't go in. We don't have any informant right now" She said. We sat in the waiting area. All of our families were here with us.

It been 2 hours and still nothing, Jess finally got out of shock and has been pacing for about an hour, mumbling things. Her mom has been calling her name, but nothing.

"Jess! Jess!" Ashton yelled. "Jessica! Yo, MRS ALL AMERICAN!" That finally stopped her, but ended in her and Ashton yelling at each other.

"Hey, you think he's going to be okay?" Kelly asked.

"He should be fine" I told her. I didn't want to make her sad, today was supposed to be the best day of our lives, and now Calum could possible die. I looked over and the yelled finally stopped. I also looked around seeing if anyone was coming to talk to us about Calum, but I saw was people staring at us weirdly. I forgot we were still in our outfit, but we wanted at superhero wedding. Don't judge. I was a fun wedding, me and boys decided to make up our own superhero, I was Mike-O-Wave, Ashton was Smash, Luke was Dr. Fluke, and Calum was Cal-Pal, and the girls they were Batman, Superman, and Captain America.

Everything was silent, no was speaking, we've been here now for 4 hours it was almost 2am.

"Calum Hood?" A doctor asked. We ran to him.

"Is he okay?" Jess asked clenching onto Luke's shirt.

"I have good news and bad news" He said. "What do you want first?"

"Good" We all said.

"Alright, He has bruises on his arms and legs, but no broken bones. Also, some cut that aren't major" He told us.

"Then, what's the bad news?" His mom asked on the verge of crying.

"He in a coma, he hit his head hard, when he hit the ground. We don't know anything, or when he will wake up. I'm sorry. He's lucky to be alive though"

"Will he, you know. Live" Luke asked.

"Yes, his condition isn't fatal. You can see him if you want, but only few people at a time. Please" then he walked away.

"JESS!" I heard Luke yelled. Nurses ran over, helped her up and sat in a chair.

"Jess come on" Ashton said shaking her. Her eyes opened and she held her head.
