They stared at me like I had gone insane, and maybe I had. I wasn't sure exactly of what was happening, but I knew I had to get everyone out, but I wasn't sure how...

And then it struck me. I was dreaming. It was my dream alone, the others weren't actually here! If I woke up I could break the spells binding to everyone and wake them up! I smirked, this had to work. But how do I wake up...?

"Lucy, come on let's all go back to the house," Gray suggested.

"No way!" I protest, standing my ground.

"Come on, we beat Dreydek! He's gone," Natsu added. I bit my lip.

"No... He isn't. He must have used some trick. Why don't we go to the guild!" I bait them.

"W-well..." Erza stammered, trying to find an argument.

"See, you won't go to the guild because you can't. This little world isn't real!" I shout. Erza shudders and I see a soft glow begin to fill her eyes. Natsu and Gray notice too; surprise taking over their looks.

"What's happening..." I breathe. Then Natsu and Gray's eyes started doing the same thing as Erza's. They all where sounded by a magic circle, a yellow glow seeping from their bodies. And with a flash they where gone. I sighed, hoping they had woken up.

But what about me?

"They're awake!" Wendy called to Makarov.

"All of them?" His elderly voice responded.

The Sky Dragon Slayer dropped her gaze. "Everyone but... Lucy..."

Makarov sighed. "Alright, help the others. We'll see what we can do for Lucy." Wendy turned back to the groggy mages, who's heads where still spinning from waking up so abruptly.

"Where's Lucy?" Was the first thing heard from the Fire Dragon Slayer's mouth, but it certainly would not be the last.

"She's right next to you, idiot," Gray muttered coldly- pissed that he had been deceived.

"Someone...get me some cake!" Erza demanded dizzily.

"Ah, Erza...you shouldn't eat right now..." Wendy told her softly. Erza bowed her head in sorrow.

"Why isn't Lucy up like the rest of us?" Natsu turned to Wendy.

"She has to wake herself up... Come on guys I'll focus on her soon but we need to make sure you are okay," Wendy beckoned them to leave. Erza and Gray stood to go but Natsu stayed put.

"Natsu?" Wendy called for him gently.

"I'm staying," was all he had to say to the girl before she left with the other two. He got up. That whole situation has felt too real to him. But now he knew one thing for sure- he needed Lucy. He needed her bad.

He growled angrily and paced the room beside the sleeping wizard. What was he supposed to do? He couldn't fight anyone to make it go away, and he certainly couldn't figure out the magic.

He leaned over the blonde, his eyes shadowed. Everything they had been through was a lie, some twisted game Dreydek had spun together. Even...that night... Natsu shook his head.

His gaze fell upon the calm face of his partner. Then it fell to her lips. He felt a massive urge to kiss her right there, but he was conflicted. He didn't want her freaking out when she woke up...if she woke up. He also shook that thought away.

"Damn it all..." He muttered before leaning down and kissing her gently. He grabbed her hand in his and held it gently as he moved away. Suddenly the Celestial Mage gasped.

I stood in the middle of the road, alone. I turned and slowly trudged back to the house. I knew this was all fake, so why wasn't I waking up? Wendy's guiding voice was gone, and I felt the all too familiar cold feeling of isolation.

I got back inside and I went to Natsu's room, looking for any bit of clothing, anything really. Finding nothing of the sort I fall back on the bed, hot tears falling down my face. Right as I got everything, I lost it.

After crying for a while I woke up, realizing I had fallen asleep. I went into the bathroom and washed my face. I leaned over the sink as I gripped the sides hard.

"Natsu, I need you..." I sobbed.

That's when I saw a soft glow coming from my arms. Excited, my eyes moved to the mirror to find that my eyes where glowing. I was free- I was going to get out! I bent my head and smiled to myself as the magic circle appeared...

I'm going home.

I gasped as my eyes opened. I saw Natsu beside me with a bewildered look on his face.

"Lucy?!" He whispered my name.

"Yeah, that's me," I laugh softly and smile weakly at him.

"You're awake!" He sighed happily.

"How did I wake up?" I ask him as I sit up. He suddenly blushes and he looks away.

"I don't know, you just kinda did..." He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly. Something told me that wasn't the case...

I leaned closer to him and whispered teasingly, "What did you do~?"

"Nothin' Luce," He mutters, embarrassed.

"Whatever you did, thank you..." I murmur before kissing his cheek. He looks over at me wearily and unsure of something.

"Anything for you, remember that," he grins. I blush a bit before he gets up and holds out his hand to help me. My legs are wobbly, making me wonder how long we had been out.

"It seems our 'link' is gone.." Natsu murmurs to himself. I stop moving and pause. Had...the mates thing been part of the spell...? I don't meet Natsu's gaze as memories flood over me. How much of it was real? How much of us is real?
