***WARNING: Violence***
The next morning I got ready and of course, Logan had already called me about the order. We agreed to meet at the location where they were holding her and I had convinced him that we wouldn't carry out the order there, since cleanup would be a pain in the ass and we could just take her somewhere remote to do the job and dump the body. Luckily he agreed because he didn't want to bother with clean up either.
When I got there and opened the door the woman looked worse than before. They had gone in again and laid another round of beating on her. She had more bruises and a few cuts and was also spitting out blood.
Fucking bastards. I got here too late. I should just shoot all of them. I want to.
Logan walked up. "They did a number on her this time. To be frank, it was mostly Goliath." He said twirling what looked like a switchblade in his hand.
"So he managed to survive that huh?"
"Yeah, and he took it out on her too."
I'm killing him the next time I fucking see him.
"You helped?" I asked nodding to the knife in his hands.
"Nah... I took this off her the night we took her. I liked it so I'm keeping it."
"Give ....it ....back." The woman whispered.
"No can do sweetheart. Where you're going, you won't need this, or that car of yours anymore."
"Leave ...him...alone." She said.
"Could fetch a good price for something like that," Logan said.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"They didn't tell ya? Missy here drives a 67 Impala, modified and everything. Too bad she banged it up ramming us."
"Oh yeah?" I was a little intrigued. "What do you mean?"
"She broadsided one of our SUVs." He started showing demonstrations with his hands. "I'm talking a full-powered drift right into us, pinning the left side of our vehicle shut. Then Missy made a run for it right after impact. She would have made it too if Tee hadn't shot her."
So she knows how to handle power cars too. Interesting.
"Sounds like she's skilled," I said untying her torso leaving her wrists tied together. "Now no funny business here lady," I told her.
I untied her legs and Logan and I each took her by the arms and held her up and walked her to the car. She limped and groaned all the way there. Who could blame her? She was beaten badly.
We sat her in the SUV and Logan hopped in the back seat with her. That had already given me an uneasy feeling.
"Why don't you sit in front?" I asked him.
"Just in case she tries something." He responded.
I got a feeling that ain't the only reason.
"Alright. Time to go" I said as I started up the vehicle and drove off.
I need to hurry she doesn't look too good back there and Logan seems to be touching her often.
Even though I was driving most of my attention was on the woman and Logan. She was starting to slump over a bit and could barely keep her eyes open.
"Awww what's the matter missy? You look like you've given up on life." I heard Logan say. "Look at me."
I kept watching in the mirror.
