According to our findings, Virgil is supposed to meet with Jasper tonight at one of his houses. We are expecting a non-friendly welcome of course, as well as Mr. Bodyguard for Jasper.
On the way there I kept wondering if this will be the last time Minjun has to go up against something this big.
I won't lie, I'm not in very good shape right now, but it hasn't stopped me before. I have to give it everything...for Felix as well.
"Hey ahjussi, been keeping up with your training?" I asked Q.
"Want me to whoop your ass to find out?" he responded looking out the window.
"Nope, just wanna know if you improved. I know that being in the field directly ain't really your style and close combat used to be challenging for you."
"I'm better. Don't really know how much better, but I got better."
"Proud of you, and you bulked up since last time so that means you could take a few hits...even a bullet or two," I joked.
"Now don't go lumping me in with you. You're just plain crazy."
"I might be."
"But seriously, focus on what you need to do, not me. You have the skills and we can get this done."
"Yes sir," I responded seriously.
"Why are you being polite now? It's weird," he said side-eyeing me.
"Well, I've been treating you like a kid for so many years only to find out that you are older than I am...so I figured I should be a little respectful shouldn't I?"
"Little late for that don't ya think? But I prefer your disrespectful attitude any day over your politeness. It's just who you are, and I'm comfortable with it."
"Whatever you say, old man." I laughed and Q shook his head smiling.
"Alright, let's pull off here," Q stated gesturing to a small area covered with trees. The canopy of trees was good as it obscured the vehicle well given that there was a bright moon out.
I pulled up, we got out, did a weapon check, and made sure our in-ears were working. Q checked the phone and it showed the location of Jasper at the house as well as our locations which were different colors.
"Mask up, let's move," I waved at Q. We tracked through the thick trees and brambles getting a few pokes along the way but trying to remain silent. As we approached the wall, it was relatively low, at about waist level, and only saw two people outside.
The house was a European concept with two floors and kind of resembled a castle with the windows having wooden panels to cover them. The walls were made of stone with a beautiful texture and an assortment of browns. The roofs were pointed in some areas with layered tiles. Little pink flowerbeds and shrubs were scattered around the building with one or two small trees beside them and the path was made of cobblestone with two lamps at the beginning.
"Such a pretty house. Too bad it won't stay that way," I said quietly.
"There are nine people there. Two are upstairs," Q confirmed looking at his phone. "I'm guessing that's Jasper and Vergil. Two outside and five scattered along the first floor. One of them is the bodyguard, and I'm guessing he's not outside."
"Well we would just have to find out now won't we?"
"Silent until spotted."
"Copy," I said and we both hopped over the wall making sure to stay low and keep close. Stealthily creeping with our silenced pistols armed until we got to the side of the building.
