~THIRD PERSON P.O.V
Three weeks after dawn...
The past few weeks have been tough on the group of survivors, trying to cope with what happened that night.
They've all been having to deal with their own trauma about what happened, but they've been handling it quite well.
Everyone in their town and some around the country knew about what happened.
Of course, most people didn't believe what went down on the mountain was real and thought it was just a bunch of teenagers trying to get attention. The few people that did believe what went down, however, were really supportive of the group and gave them their space, while also trying to help the group.
After the police interviews, the group was taken to the hospital. Most of the group had been given bandages for some of their cuts, but Max, Chris, and Jessica had to stay in the hospital for longer since they had more serious injuries.
Jessica ended up in a wheelchair for at least a month, Chris had his ankles checked out, and Max's shoulder ended up getting stitches. It took a little longer since the doctors haven't seen a bite from that particular animal before.
The group hasn't really talked since that night, since... They've been trying to figure out how they felt about everything, but a few have talked to each other.
Chris and Ashley talked, about some things which included their feelings for each other. But they both needed time before they got together if they actually got together.
After a week of getting back, Jessica and Mike agreed to end their relationship on a high note since they realized that they still had feelings for other people.
Jessica for Riley and Violet for Mike.
The pairs haven't gotten together, but they have talked about it. They agreed to wait a few months before they decide to do anything, besides, Jessica still needed to recover from the night she had.
Days after Max was let out of the hospital, she rushed to her best friend's house, the Smiths. Brad let her explain everything, about Josh, the Wendigos, about Ashley almost killing her, and... Everything in between.
Brad, of course, was doubtful of what she had to say, but once he saw the bite mark on her shoulder and the state of the others, he believed her. They agreed to keep it a secret and not tell the rest of Brad's family in fear of them getting involved.
Some good came out of the mountain, Max started being nicer to Charlie and at school too... Though she was now getting bullied for being a delusional weirdo.
She expected this, but it didn't help her self-confidence or her mental health.
Her and Charlie's parents, on the other hand, didn't seem to care about the two at all. All they were talking about is how they had to call their vacation short because of their stupid teen drama and them faking the whole thing up on the mountain.
This caused Charlie to stay over at Sam's while Max went to stay at Brad's for a while because they were sick of their complaining.
Seán, Matt, and Joey talked a lot about what happened, but for some reason, Joey had been getting some of the worst nightmares he ever experienced because of the trauma. Sure, the rest of the group got nightmares, but he seemed to be getting the worst out of the whole group, besides Jessica.
Seán and Matt have constantly asked him what the nightmares were about, but he didn't budge about telling them at all.
Emily and Matt, surprisingly, ended up making up and the two are stronger than ever.
On the other hand, Sam and Violet kept trying to convince the police to head back up to the mountain to look for Josh, to see if he was alive. There was a high chance that he was dead, but they still pleaded that they needed to check.
After a week of convincing, they started planning an investigation and search on the mountain. Though after this, they didn't hear anything back from them.
It brings us to now, on the 2nd of March, Jessica's parents were out of town for a business trip so she was staying with Riley. Riley had invited the entire group over so they could discuss what happened since they haven't had the chance to do so as a group yet.
Violet agreed, wanting to talk to the group about something, so he decided to host everyone over.
Soon, everyone arrived at the house. "So... How is everyone coping?" Ashley muttered, holding a cup of hot chocolate.
"Okay, I guess..." Emily muttered, painting her nails while she didn't make eye contact with anyone.
"I wanted to gather everyone here because I wanted us to talk about-"
"But first," Violet cut Riley off, standing up and pulling a few things out of her bag. "I want to talk about one thing I stuck on about that night,"
The group exchanged a look, wondering what she wanted to talk about. "What is it?" Sam asked.
"Is this about Josh?" Joey questioned, which caused Chris to straighten up.
"No, it's not. But it's more about Hannah," Violet stated, pulling out a few books, notes, and a picture onto the table.
"Hannah? What about her?" Mike questioned, looking at her interested.
"When we were on the mountain, we practically figured out everything. Josh pulled the prank, what happened to the twins, Hannah, the miners, and the 'mysterious man', who was Jack. But there's still one mystery still on the table," Violet explained.
They realized who she was talking about. "Anthony..." Seán muttered.
Violet nodded. "Yes. The only thing we know about him is that he seemed close with Hannah, has three siblings and parents, along with a close family friend. Along with encouraging Hannah to get her tattoo. Sam, Charlie, and I have been trying to track him down but we haven't been able to find him,"
"So, is this just an unsolved mystery?" Matt questioned.
"Not quite," Charlie said, turning the photo over, showing the writing on the back. "We think that this code might have the clue of finding him, but we haven't been able to de-code it,"
"So the biggest mystery we have right now is..." Jessica trailed off.
"Whose Anthony... And where is he?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Down in the mines back on Blackwood Mountain, three police officers were wandering around the mines, looking for Josh.
Getting closer to Hannah's lair, they could hear the sounds of engulfing chews up ahead.
That came from Josh Washington, who was devouring Jack's head.
The officers approached the lair, hearing the chewing becoming louder as they grew closer. Once they heard the chewing, one of them pulled their walkie-talkie. "There's something down here,"
Josh paused in his devouring, hearing the voices and footsteps getting closer.
The officers turned the corner, spotting Josh kneeling on the ground, holding the head of Jack. "We have a visual on a survivor. One survivor... Repeat,"
The figure that Wolfie had spotted before walked out of the darkness, striding towards the poor boy, holding the photo she took earlier. They set a hand on Josh's shoulder. "Get them. Kill them. They are the spars," they whispered.
He growled, turning to face the officers, who had frozen in terror. "Is that...? Oh fuck!" one of the officers cried.
Josh slammed the head to the floor, revealing that he was turning into a Wendigo.
"Stay back! No. No! Stay back!"
The figure grinned like a Cheshire cat, hearing the shrill screams of lives being drained as Josh attacked them. Glancing down to the photo, she crushed it in her hands.
"You'll join us, Hannah... See you soon,"
