4. Loyalty

~THIRD PERSON P.O.V

Seven hours until dawn...

Riley was walking down the path towards the cabin when he heard screaming. He froze. "Is that the screeching noise from before...? No... It didn't sound like it. It sounded like..." Riley trailed off before his eyes widened.

"JESSICA!" he shouted before he ran towards the cabin as fast as he could.

Back in the cabin, Mike was in shock about what he had just witnessed, but he snapped out of it. "Oh, fuck! Oh fuck. What the fuck!" he shouted as he ran over to grab the shotgun before opening the door.

"JESSICA!!!" Mike shouted before he ran out of the cabin. He looked down at the ground and saw glass shards and her blood on the ground. "Oh my god. Oh my god," Mike whispered to himself.

"Mike!"

He glanced to his left and saw Riley running over to him. "I heard Jess screaming and I... Is that blood?!" Riley asked as he stepped back from the blood on the ground. "Jess was fuckin' pulled out the front door window," Mike told him. Riley's eyes widened. "The fuck!?" Riley shouted in shock. "We need to go after her," Mike said.

"Give me the light. It'll be easier for you to run," Riley offered as he held his hand out. Mike nodded and gave him the light. "JESS!!!" Mike called out before they ran down the path. "Why are you even here in the first place?" Mike asked as they ran.

"I remember you had my phone to record the reactions when you were scaring Emily and Matt, and I forgot to ask for it back. But, that can wait," Riley explained as they continued running.

They came to a crossroad and they decided to do a risk and go the shortcut route, over the river. "Let's do this," Riley said before he went first, with Mike following close behind. They jumped over bits of metal that were in the river, almost falling in a couple of times, but they made it across.

They got to a small cliff before Mike kneeled down and got the gun ready. Riley set the light down next to them. "Jesus... Fuck! Fuck!" Mike cursed as he looked around with the gun. He spotted Jessica crawling away before he pointed it out to Riley. 

"JESS!!" the two shouted before she started getting dragged away, but they couldn't see who dragged her away. "NO!" Riley shouted. "ARGH!!! NO!!! MICKAAEELLL RIEEELLYY HELP ME!!!! HELP ME!!!" Jessica shouted as she was dragged away, out of sight. "Shit!" Riley cursed as the two stood up, him picking up the light.

"How do we get down?" Mike questioned. "We'll have to go down from here. It'll take too much time to go the safe way," Riley told him. "Right. Let's do it," Mike said before the two slid down the cliff. "Holy SHIIIT!!" Mike cursed as they slid down the rocky edge.

"FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK! URGH!" Mike shouted before he dropped the gun as Riley dropped the lantern before they both grabbed onto a branch.

They dropped onto the ground before they looked to where Jessica had been dragged off to. Riley grabbed the light as Mike grabbed the gun. He put the gun on his back before they ran in the direction where Jessica was dragged to.

They ducked under a tree before jumping over one. They continued before they had to duck and jump over two other trees. They came to a ledge where they could jump on a rock over a large gape or shimmy across the small ledge that went to the other side.

"Come on..." Mike muttered. Riley jumped onto the rock and jumped across to the other side. Riley turned to Mike. "Come on. We don't have much time!" Riley yelled out. Mike nodded before he did the same thing and made it across before they continued down the path.

They got to the top of the hill and saw some buildings that looked like a tiny town. "Are those the buildings you mentioned before?" Mike asked Riley. "I think so," Riley said before he slipped, sliding down the slope. "NO! NO! DAMMIT! FUUCCK!!" Riley shouted as he slid down.
