Monday was just like any other day for Joffry; he got up, went upstairs, ate whatever amalgamation Dave had made for him that morning, and then walked to school. Just like usual, Jirärd came running up behind him screaming his name. Joffry, of course, paid no mind to this. Eventually Jirärd got too tired to continue chasing Joffry down the road, so he began slowly walking a few yards behind him.

They arrived at school together, and Mr. Pringles decided to assign twenty-six pages of homework that were due the very next day. The boys (Joffry, Jirärd, Pablo, and Stanley) all decided to stay at Joffry's place that night and work on the homework together. Their mindset was that they could work more efficiently as a team. Too bad half of them were total idiots.

Joffry and Stan had to skip the Crapball game that day due to their academics having precedence over sports. Joffry was a good enough student to understand this, but he had to practically drag Stanley to his house. The boys were all there in Joffry's room ready to tear into their work.

"Alright," Joffry began, "we should strategize this so that we each work on close to the same amount of problems and we aren't all working on the same problem."

"That makes sense." Jirärd commended Joffry for his idea.

"Ok, so Jirärd can take numbers one through six, Pablo can have seven through twelve, Stanley can have thirteen through nineteen, and I'll take twenty through twenty-six. That sound good to everyone?"

"Yes" they all collectively replied with a severe lack of enthusiasm, which is completely warranted.

The boys worked together well, like they were all destined to be a team. Stanley had a bit of trouble understanding his problems, but surprisingly Jirärd was able to effectively explain to him how to do them. Joffry was quite impressed that Jirärd was this intelligent, he came off as an idiot most of the time so it was nice to see this new side of him. The boys eventually wrapped up all of their homework, and they started celebrating. Then they remembered that they also had a group presentation that was also due in the morning, so they got onto the computer to begin work.

They all changed into their pajamas and began work. Jirärd put on a pair of glasses, which the other boys were caught off guard by.

"Yo!" Stan exclaimed, "I didn't know you wore glasses!"

"Oh, yeah, they're reading glasses, they're also made so that my eyes don't get damaged by the lights from the computer monitor."

"Blue light filter glasses," Joffry stated offhandedly.

"Yeah, that's right. You familiar with them?"

"Yep, my dad had a pair of them when I was younger."

The boys continued their conversation, until eventually they remembered that they had an assignment due, so they continued their work on that. Through these homework assignments, the boys bonded quite a bit. Joffry actually started to feel a connection with them (and Joffry hadn't felt a connection like this since he was young). He was unfamiliar with the feeling of being with one's friends, it was a very pleasant feeling. But he decided to continue to act like he hated everyone despite that.

They finished the presentation, as well as their internal initiation as best friends. Their bond was stronger than the refrigerator that holds all of Uncle Dave's beer (which is quite strong, that thing looks like it fought in both world wars). Stanley and Pablo went to go brush their teeth while Joffry and Jirärd stayed in the bedroom to pretty up the presentation a little bit.

"Hey, uhh, Joffry?"

"Yeah, bud?"

"Would you consider me to be your friend?"

"Uhh, yeah. Of course. Why wouldn't I?"

"Ok, cool." Jirärd began to smile.

They all decided to go to bed. Joffry once again went to sleep and had dreams of a leprechaun kicking him in the shin.
