This fanfiction is going to have a lot of medical terminology in it and I will try to keep this page updated with everything. Comment if you feel like I missed something you would like me to explain!

The Diagnoses - The symptoms will be shown throughout the chapters

- Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)

Chronic pain that develops after an injury, surgery, or illness.

It is most common in the limbs, but is possible to develop it anywhere.

A nervous system dysfunction is what is thought to be the main cause. That means the nerves are misfiring and sending pain signals when it shouldn't.

Treatments are available, but there is no cure for CRPS. Few people do reach remission, but not most.

- Chronic Daily Migraine

It is when someone has a migraine lasting for more than 15 days a month for multiple months.

In some people the head pain is constant, and in others there are pain free days.

There are treatments that can help but no cures.

- Post Concussive Syndrome

It is diagnosed when concussion symptoms last way beyond the expected recovery period.

- Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome

Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome affects connective tissue, primarily the skin, joints, and blood vessel walls.

It is hereditary and there are a few types.

The type in this story is hypermobile type Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS).

It is characterized by hypermobility.

There are treatments but no cures.

-Gastroparesis

Gastroparesis is when there is either a partial or complete paralysis of the stomach which results in the stomach not being able to properly empty.

-Lyme Disease

Lyme disease is a bacterial infection you get from the bite of an infected tick.

At first, Lyme disease usually causes symptoms such as a rash, fever, headache, and fatigue.

But if it is not treated early, the infection can spread to your joints, heart, and nervous system.

The majority of the treatments that are going to be used and talked about in this story are real.

I myself have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, Chronic Daily Migraine, and Post Concussive Syndrome and many of the events and symptoms are based off of my own experiences.
