'It is really nice to be comforted like this,' Kaitlyn thought to herself as she was hugged by both Crystal and Sierra.
After finally pulling back from the hug, Kaitlyn looked at both Sierra and Crystal and said "Thank you guys for being, my friend."
Both girls were very touched and said that they were going to be the best of friends.
As they finished making what they had planned to, Sierra and Crystal started to show her some of the designs that they were selling. They also showed Kaitlyn how to navigate their sight as the seller and told her about how they priced things.
"The people who need what we sell, most likely don't have a lot of excess money to spend, due to medical bills and other related costs. We wanted to make these affordable so everyone who wanted one could be able to afford it." We divide up the cost of the fabric by the amount of things we made and add on 50 cents so we will be able to afford more material to make more things," Crystal began
Sierra picked up where Crystal left off and said, "sometimes we receive anonymous donations, and we use that money to make our products and donate them to the local Children's Hospital. We even have some letters that children have sent thanking us. Those are some of my most prized possessions, as it shows that I am making a difference in those children's lives."
'How was I able to befriend two of the most selfless people I have ever met?' Kaitlyn wondered to herself. The passion those two had for this business really made her want to be a better person and give her all to this business just as they do. She just hoped she didn't end up disappointing them.
"Since we finished everything so early, I have an idea," Sierra suddenly said.
Both Crystal and Kaitlyn seemed intrigued and asked what she had in mind.
"I noticed that none of us had our nails done, and thought it would be fun if we did each other's nails," Sierra said excitedly.
"OMG I love that idea we have to do it! What do you think Kaitlyn," asked Crystal.
"I am not the best at detail work but I definitely think we should do it!" Kaitlyn said after a little bit of thought.
The girls all went over to Sierra's desk, which she had to clear off, and Crystal got the nail polish and set it down. Crystal asked if hers could be done first, and Sierra and Kaitlyn agreed.
"I was thinking that for a design I wanted an abstract pattern using nude colors, because at work, they don't like us having flashy nails. Maybe some solid and some patterned, but again, not too much." Crystal said once they finished setting up everything.
Sierra then whispered her idea in Kaitlyn's ear and they both turned and grinned at Crystal.
"Do you want to know our idea or do you want it to be a surprise," Kaitlyn asked Crystal.
After a little bit of thought, Crystal said she trusted them, so Sierra and Kaitlyn got to work. Sierra did one hand, and Kaitlyn did the other.
The girls talked while doing her nails and began to get to know eachother even better. Crystal told Kaitlyn that she currently attends community college and is trying to get a business degree. While she loves fashion, her parents always told her that it is not a true career.
Crystal, as a compromise, decided to get a business degree with the hopes of eventually opening her own boutique.
"I would call it 'Crystal's Creations," she said.
Kaitlyn was really impressed with Crystal's ambition and what all she has done, despite her health issues.
It took another ten minutes for Sierra and Kaitlyn to finish Crystal's nails, and it was safe to say that Crystal loved what they had done.
