I woke up at 5 in the morning since my flight to Costa Rica is at 6. I raced out of my room and threw on an outfit. I did my hair and makeup, and put on my favorite pair of shoes.

I raced downstairs in a giddy haze. Holding my bags while going downstairs my feet stumbled and I tripped and fell.
"OUCH" I yelled.
Why do I have to be so clumsy!
"Oh sweetie are you okay!" Mom asked concerned.
"Yep!" I say getting up and giggly.
"Are you ready to go!?!" Mom asks.
"More than ready!" I reply.
____Time skip___ 5:55 AM
"I love you so much, I will miss you and I'm going to write you everyday! Did you remember your earbuds? How about your motion sickness pills, you know how you can get. Did you remember everything, I'm going to miss you." Mom asked as she's kissing my forehead.
"Mom I will be okay! Remember I survived the Dilophosaurus encounter! Yes I remembered my earbuds and pills, I wont be getting sick and will be jamming out to my music on the plane. I look forward to getting your letters. I have my phone too so you can text me!" I exclaimed.
"Okay, now you better go. You don't want to miss your flight." She says while giving me a big squeeze around the neck and a kiss on the cheek.
"I'll see you in the Fall! Unless something absolutely terrible happens and I never make it home and I'm stuck in the jungle with the other campers, and I have a pet dino-" I say getting cutoff by Mom.
"STOP SAYING THAT! YOU WILL BE FINE!!" Mom cuts me off annoyed yet smiling.
I make my way through the gate and find my seat, I have a really sweet window seat. A girl with pink hair sits next to me. She held up her phone and took a selfie. I'm in the back of the photo but I'm looking out the window and I look like dork.
"Hi! I'm Brooklynn. Brooklynn from Brooklynn Unboxes The World!" She does a peace sign with her fingers and then winks at me.
"hi, I'm Y/n." I whisper.
"What?" She asked since she couldn't hear me.
"I'm Y/n!" I say louder because I don't want to repeat myself again.
"That's what I thought you said but I wasn't sure! Where are you headed?" Brooklynn asks.
"I won an art competition and I got a free ticket to go to Camp Creta-" I started
"Ceous! ME TOO! WE ARE GOING TO BE GREAT FREINDS! I'm going too! I will your first new friend!" Brooklynn exclaimed while hugging me.
"Wait really! I dont have many friends and to be honest I was kinda nervous that I wasn't going to make any friends." I stated.
"WHAT! OMG! NOT TRUE! Brooklynn yelled.
The plane lands and me and Brooklynn make our way off the plane, we grab our luggage and we are both picked up by a taller man who wore a bandana and a red shirt.
"Heya Campers! I'm your head councilor Dave! You guys are in for an amazing summer, full of dinosaurs and fun. WOOP WOOP!" Dave said while fist bumping the air.
"I'm so excited! Lets go!" I screamed racing towards the boat.
Brooklynn followed close to my side, both of us giggling and throwing our arms up into the air.
I feel like I have gained a boost of confidence just by being here! I don't feel nervous or scared!
"WHOA, slow down dudettes!" Dave yells while chasing us.
My new friend Brooklynn and I step onto the boat and are stopped by a woman in a read shirt just like Dave.
"Hi there girls, My name is Roxie. I am the head councilor of this glorious camp! But before I allow the two of you on the boat I need your names to make sure your on the camper list!" Roxie states.
Me and Brooklynn direct our attention to Dave who whispers to us.
"Don't tell Roxie I said I was the head councilor, please."
We both nod our heads and we wink at each other.
"Names! CHOP, CHOP! We have to get this boat moving!" Roxie yells.
"I'm Brooklynn!"
"I'm Y/n!"
"Alright... artsy... superstar....Alright you both are on the camper list! Right this way!" Roxie motions behind her.
Brooklynn and I start walking behind her giggling and joking.
"The other campers are already at the island! So lets go?" Dave exclaims.
The boat rocks forward and before I know it we are on our way to Isla Nublar.
I can hardly wait!
I pop a motion sickness pill in to my mouth and swallow hard since I didn't have any water with me. The boat comes to a halt and Roxie tells us both to make our way slowly off the boat. We both hop off the boat with the councilors behind us. A light breeze brushes my face and I smell the tropical air we are greeted by some of the other campers.
