"y/n!" I hear faintly.

The moist grass is soft on my face, I can smell the dew. My face is a little damp, I could lay here forever but I remember Ben. Suddenly I feel my body being shook and my leg shoots a pain up from my ankle.

"ugh..." I say in a grunt.

Suddenly arms wrap around me, I hug them back. Its Ben.

"Are you all okay?" I ask.

Kenji is somehow in a tree. That made me giggle. I go to stand up, but I stumble onto Ben.

"Y/n your leg... Let me carry you." Ben says.

He wraps my arm around his shoulder, and I lean on him.

ROAR

"Where the heck is that thing?" Kenji asks.

"It's coming Ben!" Ben whimpered, still holding me steady.

"Ben, it's okay at least we are together." I said trying to lighten the mood. 

"Shh! It could be anywhere." Yaz whispered.

"The observation tower was that way? Or was it that way? I..." Brooklynn said puzzled and frustrated.

Sammy said something and reached in her pocket, but I couldn't quite understand what she was talking about. It sounded like she was apologizing. It was probably nothing. 

"Where's? No... No..." Darius started "My necklace, I left it in my bunk!"

He's really worrying about a necklace. We were just attacked by a giant white dinosaur. 

"We have to run... NOW!" I yelled.

Everyone took off in front of me and Ben, but I looked at him puzzled. He made a confused face at me as I motioned towards my leg. He understood and I leaned into him more and hopped on one foot. As we ran Ben did most of the work since I could barely walk. His hair blew in the wind and his face looked flustered.

"Ben... huff... it's going... huff... to be... huff... okay!" I said smiling at him.

"I hope so." He whispered under his breath.

Suddenly the others stopped in front of us. We still had a little way to go since we were about 2 paces behind them, thanks to my leg.  We finally made our way up with the group and the sight was awful. Our camp had collapsed. We had nowhere to hide, we were stuck in the jungle with that monster. I motioned to every to move forward so Ben started to help move me towards the old camp. The others followed close behind. I directed my gaze towards Ben when suddenly we dropped about a foot into the ground. That hole wasn't there before? Was it? Ben and I looked down in unison to see a massive footprint, it couldn't have been a T. Rex footprint. This footprint was huge and unnatural. Everything about this place is unnatural, hybrid dinosaurs. 

"Well, that's lovely!" I said trying to joke.

"Dave, Roxie, the other workers. They must've all gotten away." Sammy said hopeful.

A loud screech came form over by a flipped over jeep. It was Darius. 

"Not all of them!" Darius whispered spooked, he pointed to the inside of the jeep to reveal some of the workers who didn't make it out.

"We are on our own." Yaz gasped.

A breif moment of silence had swept over us all and it was suddenly interrupted by Brooklynn.

"GIve me my phone!" Brooklynn yelled at Sammy.

I motioned to Ben and we started to walk around the destroyed building. I have never been a fan of drama. 

"Wow, it really is destroyed, huh." I said looking up at Ben.

"Yeah..." He said quietly.

"I know it's scary Ben, but it will be okay. We are all here together and we can fight this together." I winked.

"Your right. I will protect you. I've got your back!" Ben said, I reached my hand up to meet the hand he had wrapped around my shoulder and gave it a tight squeeze. 

He turned red again with a sweet smile that caused him to turn his face away from me. We had walked around in a circle until we finally made our way back to the group. Everyone had finally calmed down.

"Where'd you two go." Kenji asked casually.

"On a walk." I said glancing up at Ben who was looking down at me with a cute smile.

"Mhmmm, so... are you two ready to go." Kenji giggled.

"Go where?" I asked paniced.

"Don't worry y/n. It was Darius plan not mine." Kenji teased.

"Well in that case were in." I said smugly, Kenji turned his head and glared at me.

We all walked towards the jungle together in a close huddle. Ben kept whispering to himself, so I squeezed his hand again and he smiled. The camp faded from behind us as the jungle vines and trees engulfed my vision. I only saw green and a tan dirt color, but I did see a hint of blue every time I would look over at Ben who held onto me courageously. I felt safe again, and it was probably the last time I would feel that warm feeling again.
