Lonely Together Ben Pincus x Reader

The Plan

Ben started to pull the sliding door open, as the door slid open a gust of air made its way into the tent. It smelled amazing, the fresh jungle air sent a chill down my spine. My eyes danced their way over to Ben as his hair flowed effortlessly in the breeze, causing blood to rush to my head. Yas nudged my shoulder pushing me closer to Ben. I glanced back at her giving her a look. Ben's eye made their way over to me, smoothly he grabbed my hand. 

"So... Are we going to go out or are we just going to stare at the hot jungle man?" Kenji teased hanging onto Ben's back pointing out the door with his pointer finger. 

"I'm not staring..." I whispered with my eyes dropping to the floor. Ben's hand gave my hand a quick reassuring squeeze. My eyes met his ocean and I felt better.

Darius squeezed his way out the door eyeing every corner of the campsite making sure Tiff and Mitch were really gone. Olive and Bumpy were the only ones out there.

"Guys, all clear lets role." Darius said. 

We all moved out from the safety of the tent slowly. 

"Yas, Sammy you too are a group. Kenji, Brooklynn, and I will explore together. Y/n and Ben you too are together." Darius exclaimed confidently. 

Yas's head whipped around to me and Ben. Our hands together, I quickly untangled our hands in a spiral of embarrassment. I could feel Ben's eyes looking at me. My heart sank...

I shouldn't have done that...

The groups made their way to opposite sides of the campsite. I looked over to Ben, his oceans were directed towards Olive and Bumpy who were playfully nipping each other. Before I could put any words into the air he walked calmly away. 

He's upset... I've only been conscious for a few days, and he took care of me the whole time. He even learned how to braid for me. This is how I treat him, what is wrong with me. I got nervous because I love him, but he doesn't know that. I have to tell him.

Before I could think my legs were moving faster than my thoughts. I swiftly caught up to Ben. His oceans directed towards the ground; he kicked little pebbles with his feet as he walked.

"Are we okay? Did I do something? If you are embarrassed of like I don't know, I can stop." He said eyes still on the ground.

"Ben, you did nothing. I'm not embarrassed of you or anything, it's just. I've never felt this before, like ever. It's new to me.  And Yas is reaaallllyyy pushy." I exclaimed joking at the end Ben chuckled a little bit flashing his oceans at me. 

"What are you feeling? I think I feel it, too." Ben questioned knowing what exactly what he was doing.

"You know!" I winked nudging his shoulder playfully.

"No I really don't!" He winked putting his arm around me. I could feel my body temperature rising, He could feel it, too. 

My eyes met his, his beautiful deep eyes. The wind blew his hair just right. Our feet stopped without noticing. Before we knew it, we were standing Infront of one another just gazing at each other. Everything about him is beautiful. His eyes, his cute little bandanna, his perfect nose, and... his lips. 

Are we having another moment? I really want to kiss him... WHAT. Y/n way to early, let him lead. But what if he doesn't lead and we are stuck in this weird stage of in between friends and lov-

My thoughts were interrupted by the soft feeling of his lips brushing against mine. Getting caught up in the moment my hand met his hair. It was so soft, I started playing with his soft muddy hair. Ew but kinda cute. His hand was placed on my hip and the other on my cheek. I'm not entirely sure how long our kiss lasted but it felt like forever. He broke the kiss with a long breath.

"Y/n I love you!" He said pulling back with hands still placed firmly on my hips.

"I love you, too Ben!" I said giving him one more little kiss. 

He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me on the head. I rested my head snuggly in the cavity of his neck. My lips decided to give him a kiss on the neck. Ben just held me so calmly. Suddenly, a weak applause erupted from behind one of the tents. Our family revealed themselves from behind the tents clapping. 

"Its about time!" Sammy yelled hooting.

"We all knew it was going to happen sooner or later, but that... That was beautiful." Kenji joked.

I clung to Ben as we walked away from the group. I noticed that Darius was missing from the group. Thats odd. All I could focus on was Ben and his rosy cheeks though. All of the sudden a shriek erupted from a tent. It was Darius. What did he find?
