When It all Fell Apart

___Time Skip/ couple days___

Why does he keep looking at me?

Ben nervously keep s glancing your way. Every time you look at him he looks past you as if you were a ghost. It's about 6 in the morning and everyone got up early to get ready, me and Ben were the first to get ready. We both are sitting on the edge of his bed awkwardly, for some reason. 

"Um so Ben..." I started

"Y-yeah?" He responded nervously.

"Do you want to go downstairs? Olive is getting hungry and honestly I am, too." I said gesturing towards Olive who is peering up at me.

"Sure, lets go." He says standing up offering his hand to me.

Good he's back to normal. I wonder why he was acting weird.

I grab his hand a give it two small squeezes and then we both smile at one another and start downstairs. 

Me and Ben grab cereal out of the cupboard and I grab Olive lunch meat out of the fridge. Over in the corner of the table I see a note, I glance at Ben and he nods his head towards it.

"BRB, gotta go, boss-talk, BB, later, um... a dinosaur with a thumbs up." I saw making a digusted face at Ben.

He shrugs and I hand him the note.

"look on the back, it's from Roxie." He says flipping the paper over.

"We have to go talk to our boss, stay inside until we return, draw, bond, whatever, the radio's set for channel six in case you need us, stay inside, stay inside, do not leave Kenji I'm looking at you." Ben says with a giggle in his voice making me blush.

"Well I guess we're stuck here, what do you want to do!" I say enthusiastically.

"Well, stay inside for starters." Ben responds gently punching my shoulder laughing.

Kenji and the others make there way into the room. Darius and Brooklynn are missing though. 

"Whats up camp fam!" Sammy yells making finger guns at me and Ben.

"So what have you two been doing." Yas says with a weird expressing while gesturing for me and him to move in together closer.

I shake my head while Ben says "Well Roxie and Dave left a note, we are on our own today."
"You've got to be kidding me... I'm stuck in here with you two!" Kenji says pointing at us both.

"Why don't you guys just kiss and confess your feelings for each other. Yeesh." Kenji says while throwing boxes of cereal behind him.

"Kenji does have a poi-" Yas starts.

"What up Camp Cretaceous! Whoo hoo!" Darius yells.

"Not in a whoo hoo mood this morning Darius." Kenji says. "Not after yesterday, trekking through a rainstorm will do that."

Yesterday Darius and Brooklyn almost died in a mud pit, fun times.

"But today's a new day! Kayak Day!" Darius says. "Who doesn't wanna paddle alongside dinosaurs, real dinosaurs? It's gonna be awesome right? Wait, where is Roxie and Dave?"

"The babysitters took off early and left this." Kenji says throwing the note at Darius.

Darius reads off the note.

"Do they understand how old we are?" Kenji asks. "I mean when was the last time you even saw a crayon?"

Ben holds up a picture of him and Bumpy playing chess proudly.

"Hmmm, I have notes." Yas says laughing.

Ben quickly pulls his picture down.

Suddenly Brooklynn slams the door open.

"Brooklynn, what's new on the internet Superstar?" Yas says, knowing that she is angry.

"I wouldn't know, because when I went to get my phone off the charger, it wasn't there! Someone stole my phone!" Brooklynn yells making Olive hide.

"Brooklynn, who hasn't had your phone?" Yas asks.

"I needed it to check the weather last night..." Ben says quietly.

"I needed it to see what Dilophosaurus eat." I said nudging Ben.

Everyone continues bickering and Sammy ends up getting blamed. Wonderful camp things.

"Ben do you want to g-" I start.

A large roar emerges from the jungle.

"What was that?" Brooklynn asks.

"Um, a T-Rex." Kenji says.

"Mm-mm, I dont think so." Darius replies.

"Then, what sort of dinosaur? Did it dound freind-ish or foe-ish?" Kenji asks.

Olive is acting very strange, I start rubbing her head but she jumps onto my lap causing me to fall into Ben's lap. I look up at him and he is really intense listening to the conversation. He slowly wraps his hands around me and Olive he lets outs a small smile and I do the same. 

"Maybe they're moving a are dino from the lab to another enclosure." Darius gasps running towards the elevator. "We could probably see it from the observation tower! Come on!" He yells standing the the elevator.

Everyone runs to the elevator and me and Ben are still sitting together. 

"Bu-but guys." Ben stutters while playing with my hair.

"It's indoor arts and crafts day!" I yell "We should all stay inside and wait for Dave and Roxie, right Kenji!"

Me and Ben direct our gaze over towards Kenji.

"If you wanna stay here and draw your dino-crush-"

"BUMPY" Ben reminds.

"Okay whatever, anyways go for it, I'm gonna go see me a T-rex or a girl fight, either way I win, ka-ching!" Kenji says fist bumping the air.

Kenji takes off to the elevator while the others motioned their hands for us to come, too.

"Fine, go on, I'll just stay where we're supposed to stay, wait for who we're supposed to be." Ben says smiling down at me.

"Ben I think we should follow, because I don't want them to get hurt." I said.

Ben sighs and then buckles his fanny pack. He stands up alerting Olive that it is time to leave. Ben gives me his hand and we both walk out of the room together. Hand and Hand.
