Together Again

The light breeze brushed against my face as I looked down at Kenji and Brooklynn. Ben still had his hand twined with mine. His eyes had a deep look of adventure, he looked happy. i don't want to ruin his mood with my feelings. 

"You guys... are alive!?" Brooklynn yelled giving me a big hug.

"I should be asking you guys that!" I said giving her a tight squeeze.

"You guys look awful." Ben said smiling, we all gave him a look as he was still smiling at us.

"I mean that in a good way..." Ben recovered.

"What happened? You guys look so... different." Kenji hesitated.

"Well, a couple of months alone will do that to ya." Ben explained.

"But, you had Y/n. You weren't completely alone!" Brooklynn replied cheery.

My eyes dropped to ground and I let go of Ben's hand quickly. I could feel his eyes looking at me but I couldn't bare to look at him. I let him down, I left him all alone with our dinosaur's, he had to do everything by himself. 

"He didn't have me." I replied quietly.

"She just woke up today..." Ben responded, his eyes were burning holes into my head but I couldn't look at him.

"Oh, I'm sorry Ben. That must have been hard." Kenji replied with a glum tone.

"Well, I was able to defeat Toro while she was asleep. Olive's poison is crazy!" Ben said knocking my shoulder.

"You did what!?" Kenji yelled.

"wha... what." the man gurgled.

"UNTIE ME!" The man yelled.

"You think your tough, you don't know the meaning of tough!" Ben started.

My eyes were still on the dark soil that slowly turned into green lush plants. I felt an arm wrap around me. But Ben's up there, whose arm... I turned my eyes to see that it was Brooklynn. Slowly she leaned her head onto my shoulder. I leaned my head on her's in return.

"I'm glad your back, I missed you." She whispered.

"I missed you, too." I whispered in return.

Ben and the man had finally stopped quarrelling about scars and weird guy stuff. Brooklynn lifted her head from my shoulder and ran towards Kenji. Those two would make a good couple. Ben made his way over to me and took my hand.

"He said he can help us." Ben said.

"Where are the others?" I asked.

"They're back at the camp. Lets go." Kenji nodded.

We all started after Kenji and the man was still tied up. His ropes were being held by Brooklynn as we started towards the camp. Ben hasn't looked at me since I moved my hand from his. Maybe I should tell him.

"Ben..." I started.

"Yeah! What's up?" Ben glanced.

"I need to tell you something... it's important..." I said.

"What is it?"

"I really, really lov-" I started before getting cutoff by gasps.

"Ben! Y/N! Is it really you!?" Sammy screamed rushing towards us.

She embraced Ben and I. I had a glare on my face, I'm not sure why. I just feel... mad. Sammy released us and Darius was standing Infront of me with a lifeless expression. 

"um... Hi..." I said.

He without hesitation gave me a tight hug. I think he felt bad for dropping Ben and I. 

"Children... What's all of the commotion?" A lady with white hair asked coming out of one of the big tents.

She came to a halt when she noticed Ben and I.  A man who was taller and had binoculars around his neck stopped by her side. She whispered loudly to him but no one else seemed to hear her.

"great more little brats... and two nice looking dinosaurs." She whispered.

I gave her a dark glare and she returned it until she saw Ben looking in her direction. Ben's two eyes glanced back and fourth from me to her.

"What was that all about?" Ben whispered in my ear.

"She called us brats... and they are eyeing Bumpy and Olive." I replied loudly.

Ben's blue eyes looked at her in the eyes, she let out a small fake smile and waved her perfectly polished fingers at him. Ben and I wrapped our arm's around Olive and Bumpy. I walked back to the group and we huddled into a circle.

"Who are they?" I asked the whole.

"That's Mitch and Tiff." Yaz explained.

"Something is really off with them. I noticed it as soon as I could smell them." Ben replied.

Why is Ben talking like that? He's being mean, he's not acting like my Ben.

"We need to figure out what's going on." I suggested eyeing Ben who was standing next to me.

"Agreed, they are going out later we can investigate then." Darius said.

We all nodded and lifted our heads.

"What was that all about, sweeties?" Tiff asked kindly.

"Family meeting." Sammy explained hugging Ben and I's necks.

"Ben and Y/n come with me, I can show you our tent." Kenji nodded.

All of us started towards Kenji. The tent stood tall, it was a bright tan color. It almost looked that dirt that surrounded the site. On the inside there were 2 sets of bunk beds and one single bed that sat on the floor. 

"Oh, I guess there aren't enough bed's." Kenji whispered in shock. 

"That's alright me and Y/n haven't slept in a bed since the park closed." Ben yelled wrapping his arm around my neck, I let out an awkward smile.

"That's true I didn't think of that." Brooklynn said slapping Kenji on the back.

"Alright guys, it looks like Mitch and Tiff are leaving." Darius said sliding the door open a bit.

"Let's roll, then." I said pounding my fist into my hand.
