Another Day

I look up from having my head on Ben's shoulder. Kenji and Darius are standing at the front of the jeep panting.

"Why are you two so out of breath?" Roxie asks concerned.

"Just doing the job we're told." Darius says nervously. "How was the field trip?" He diverts suddenly.

"Oh, well, um, you know Ben and Y/n fell in love with a dinosaur, and basically adopted it, and are her parents." Yas cuts in.

"And Super Star here got us booted from the lab." Yas says bitterly.

"That's not what happen-" Brooklynn starts.

"How'd poop patrol go?" Sammy asks.

"Uh..." Darius stutters.

"Awesome! You all should've seen how I owned-" Kenji starts and then is punched in the arm.

Darius quickly comes up with a lie.

"This valuable experience! Um, learned a lot about ourselves and, uh... yep!" Darius exclaims nervously.

Roxie sniffs the air as the two hop into the back of the jeep.

"Oh! Well then, hit the showers, and maybe stay in there for a while?" Roxie suggests.

Roxie then drives us back to camp.

Ben glances at the two boys and plugs his nose.

"Use soap. Lot's of soap!" Ben yells.

We eventually arrive back at camp. We start to head towards the elevator but I realize that Kenji and Darius are in the elevator. I grab Bens hand and nod my head towards the stairs. We start up the stairs and beat everyone else up to the rooms.

"Alright, once they are done with their showers, then we are going to be baking, then after that, we go to bed and tomorrow is a surprise!" Roxie teases.

"Ohh, I'm excited." Brooklynn says.

I rush away to the other room and I grab Ben. I set my bag down in the middle of the room and unzip it. 

"Ben, we have something else to worry abo-" I started.

"I want to help!" Ben said eagerly.

I looked at him and smiled. The small Dilophosaurus hopped on top and started hissing at Ben. He whimpered a little and then I grabbed the dino off of his chest. He looked over at the dinosaur who was now nudging my face with its nose. I cooed a really cute nose and laid down in my lap.

"Wow, it really likes you. Me not so much..." Ben said.

"She will like you eventually. You have to spend time with her and gain her trust. Tell you what, if you go to the kitchen and grab some lunch meat you can feed her!" I said.

Ben nods and leaves the room. I am so tired. I'm standing the middle of the room waiting for Ben when Olive starts rubbing against me like a kitten. She is so strong that she almost knocks me over. She is about the size of my dog that I have at home! She tall enough that her head is at my knee. I start crying because I really miss my dog. I curl into a small ball in the middle of the floor, Olive nudges my hand with her nose. She some how pushes one of my hands out of the way and sits on my lap resting her head on my shoulder as I cry. I squeeze Olive, giving her one of the biggest hugs ever. I hear the door creak open.

"Y/n? Are you okay?" the voice asks.

I sniff and go to stand up but two arms wrap themselves around me, I hug whoever it was back. They start crying, too. After a few minutes of crying the arms let go and they start resting one of their arms on my shoulder. I manage to wipe the tears from my eyes and I look to my right and I realize that it was Kenji. He was the one who was comforting me. Something in me thought it was Ben but I was wrong. I rest my head on his shoulder and then I realize that Olive is still in the room sitting on my lap. I spring my head up and look down at her. She had fallen asleep in my lap and looked so peaceful. 

"Kenji, you shouldn't be here! You have to promise me that you aren't going to tell anyone about her!" I yelled.

"What Olive?" He replies with a smirk.

"What? How do you know her name?" I asked genuinely confused.

"We all know. You and Ben are really loud... really loud." He emphasizes.

I look over to the door that made a creaking sound again and everyone is standing in the doorway. I panic a false smile.

"You guys can't tell Roxie or Dave! Promise?" I practically scream.

"Yeah, we got you Y/n! We are in this together." Darius says making his way into the room.

He starts rubbing Olive on the back, she starts cooing.

"Yeah, I'm in. I want to help." Yas says making her way to me.

"Woop, Woop! Camp Fam! Man, I love y'all!" Sammy exclaims putting her hand on Yas.

"Brooklynn?" Kenji says giving her a smile.

"I"m so in!" Brooklynn says throwing her hands into the air!

We all giggle and then Ben arrives at the door. He drops the lunch meat and has an confused look on his face.

"They know now?"

Everyone but Ben laughs.

"Come on guys it's time for bed." Kenji says.

We all make our way out of the room and into our room.
