Lonely Together Ben Pincus x Reader

When it all fell apart PT:2

We both made our way to the bottom floor where the others were waiting for us. We start towards the observation tower slowly, I'm hesitant because we have no idea what dinosaur is wandering the jungle right now. But whatever it was, it has to be big. Kenji starts tugging at the door of the observation tower.

"It's locked." Kenji says throwing the lock back onto the door.

"Oh, wow, guess we can't get in, we should all go back before someone comes along and we get in trouble." Ben says while tugging my hand.

"Wait, where is everybody." Kenji asks. "Uh, there's usually someone around.

"If we're doing this." Brooklyn starts while grabbing a bobby pin out of her hair. "Then we might as well do this."

The door opens.

"ta da!" Brooklynn yells throwing her arms up. "What, you didn't see my 'Unboxing Kathmadu' video? 'Hacks For When You Lock Yourself Out Of Your Hotel Room'?"

"Last one to the top is a rotten egg!" Sammy yells while running to the stairs.

Yas quickly follows along with the others minus me and Ben.

"They are going to be so hot by the time they get to the top, hahaha" I say.

"Haha, yeah they are." Ben says.

Ben and I make our way up the stairs while glancing at one another. Olive races up the stairs nearly knocking me over, I fell right into Ben. He has both of my hands in his hands, I look up at him and he has a shocked face. 

"Don't look at me like that, haha." I said playfully.

Ben still staring at me lifts me up and whispers into my ear.

"I-I lov-" 

"Y/N AND BEN ARE YOU SLOW POKES COMING OR WHAT!!" Kenji screamed.

What was he going to say?

We start up the stairs again and make our way to the top.

"Is anybody else hot?" Sammy asks panting. "It is hot." 

I nudge Ben's shoulder giving him and "I told you so" look.

Suddenly we hear loud thumping sounds, it sounds like a dinosaur walking. We all lean over the edge of the tower to see what is happening. More footsteps occur. Then nothing.

"There's something out there." Sammy says.

"Something big." Darius replies.

Suddenly more footsteps occur. Then a Brachiosaurus emerges from the jungle. We all sigh in relief.

"It's just a Brachiosaurus." Yas says.

"They roar?" I ask confused.

"Yeah, that doesn't make any sense, Brachiosauruses don't roar like that." Darius explains. "They're more like..." 

Darius starts making a really embarrassing Brachiosaurus noise. 

"Didn't quite catch that, uh, one more time?" Kenji smirks.

Suddenly we hear small whispers coming from the bottom of the tower.

I can barely make out what they are saying but suddenly it clicks.

Me and Ben whisper in unison "Asset out of containment."

"GUYS WE HAVE TO GO RIGHT NOW< LIKE RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW!!" I say grabbing Ben's hand and racing towards the stairs.

The Brachiosaurus makes a loud bellowing noise and falls right over. We all scream and the people at the bottom of the tower start yelling louder. Suddenly a white dinosaur I have never seen before emerges from the jungle. Olive hides under my legs whining. The dinosaur starts stalking the men. 

Why didn't it eat the Brachiosaurus?

The men at the bottom of the tower are clueless of the white monster that is behind them. The monster suddenly roars and the men then become aware of the monster. They try to run, but there is no outrunning whatever science experiment that thing is. Within seconds the men were gone, eaten. In panic I start crying, I'm not sure what else to do. Normally I know what to do in situations but I don't and I'm scared. Everyone screams in panic. Ben squeezes my hand and I notice he is crying too. He tugs my hand over towards him and suddenly I was wrapped into his arms. I felt safe at this moment. I felt safe in his arms. I love him.

"What is that?" Yas asks.

Ben suddenly starts screaming.

"It got him, it got him!!" 

Brooklynn gasps.

"Dr. WU's lab, there was a dinosaur, In-" She says

"Indominus Rex." Sammy yells.

"How do you know that name?" Brooklynn says pointing at Sammy.

"But there's no dinosaur named-" Darius starts.

"ITS A SCIENCE EXPERIMENT!" I reply in tears.

"We need to leave, now, now, now, we have to go!" Sammy yells.

"Up here is safe, down there isn't, besides, this high up it's not like Whatever- Rex that is, can even see us." Kenji says confidently.

Right as he said that the Dinosaur peers up with her golden hellfire eyes. We all scream in a panic.

"It sees us!" Ben screeches.

Suddenly the monster rams into the gate completely destroying it, then it lifelessly starts ripping at the tower. We all loose our balance and Yas almost falls off the tower suddenly being caught by Sammy.

"Woah!" Sammy yells.

"Sammy!!" Yas yells.

The monster notices Sammy and starts at the tower again.

"HOLD ON!" Darius yells.

Kenji and Darius both grab Yas and Sammy.

"The zip line! Go, go, go!" Darius yells.

Brooklynn puts ben backwards on the zipline and pushes him off the platform.

"I can't, I can't, I can't" He screams while going down the line.

I hop on the next one, then the others follow. SUddenly Bens zipline comes to a stop.

"Guys!!??" Ben yells.

The rest of them screams.

"Woah, no, no, no!" Brooklynn yells.

"Why aren't we moving!" Kenji screams. "Ben what did you do!"

"He didn't do anything, not everything that goes wrong is Ben's fault." I say winking at him trying to distract him from the impending doom below us.

The zipline shakes and everyone screams. I start crying again.

"Whats going on?" Yas asks.

"It's the emergency brake." I say "Great timing..."

"I have an idea." Darius says.

"You're strong? Like really, really strong?" Darius asks.

"What are you doing?" She yells.

"Just catch me!" he yells.

Darius takes off and jumps into Yas's arms. They go flying down the line running right into Brooklynn. 

"It's working, it's working!" I shout.

The indominus shakes the wire one last time sending us flying off the zipline. I am facing straight up towards the sky. Wow. The sky is beautiful right now. It's okay, if I die. I know I had the best last few days with the people I love the most. But then I think of Ben, I have to survive I think to myself. Suddenly the tree leaves surround me and my view if the sky diminishes. I hit the ground with a bang and a sharp pain starts all down my leg and everything goes dark. Olive!... Darkness.
