Dimitri squeaked when Javier picked him up. He really wasn't expecting Javier to pick him up but he really did enjoy being in the other's arms. As soon as Dimitri was set down, he didn't even waste one second before rushing to find a bunch of sticks. After a while, when Dimitri was expected to be running back with sticks in his hand, there had been complete silence and Dimitri was nowhere to be seen. When walking around in the woods Dimitri's scent couldn't be located at all and there was no sign of him anywhere.
Javier became very worried and scared for his rabbit. "Dimitri!" He hollered out loud. He hoped the rabbit heard him because he was beginning to worry a lot. After having no answer Javier walked to the forest line and called for his rabbit again. He soon just walked into the forest to see of he could catch Dimitri's scent at all.
Unfortunately Dimitri's scent wasn't there. There had only been the scent of dirt and dew. While wandering through the forest there had been a jacket Dimitri had put on laying down on some logs. It looked like someone had ripped the sleeves and the hood was just hanging on by one thread. It didn't look like Dimitri had torn it himself, it looked like someone was trying to pull him back. There hadn't been any other trace other than that. He had been taken from Javier. When the police were contacted Javier was informed that a missing rabbit wasn't an emergency.
After a month had gone by a letter had appeared on Javier's doorstep. It hadn't been written by someone, there were letters glued onto a piece of paper like a collage. The letter had stated that the person had Dimitri locked away and they would only return him if he had paid them an insane amount of money. On the back of the letter there were pictures of Dimitri tied up with a scared look and another where Dimitri was tied to a chair with hardly any clothes on and a bunch of large cuts and bruises all over his body. In the second picture Dimitri looked like a walking corpse with his eyes looking so dim and lifeless. When looking at the image closely there had been tears running down his cheeks. He truly needed help.
Javier was infuriated by the letter. But he did have the money luckily. So now he was Planning to use his magic against someone and that can be dangerous but he needed to save his rabbit... But his plan was something he needed a little help on. So, he called a few friends of his. A female who had a few scars teleported to the male with magic. Next a man who looked i identical to the female appeared.
"What’s your plan Javier." The man asked as he was not just as curious on how to get the one Javier loved. The female was also intrigued. "I have a well thought plan. Me and Jackal here wait invisibly on each side of the place. and you give the signal." The female stated. Javier nodded. "Tomorrow night." He said as he looked at the images and burned them in his hand. He truly was fighting the urge to set something aflame.
The morning before there had been another letter on the doorstep stating the address which they were to meet. When they arrived at the abandoned warehouse, they had arranged to meet at it was clear that there had been more than one person who was involved. There had been 5 people outside, 4 of them with guns. When inside there had been 8 people, two guarding the back entrance, four standing behind the leader, one was gripping Dimitri's ears while holding a gun to his head, and then the leader. All of them had weapons visible and masks hiding their face. When Javier stepped inside the leader had let out a chuckle. "You really do care about this shitty runt." The leader cackled. "Did you bring the money?"Javier kept calm. "Yes... Now rabbit first then the money." He demanded as he hoped the twins would go as planned. But he kept his poker face. "Give me my rabbit..." He said as he pulled out a case with the money in it... He was getting pissed. And sparks of flames came from his hand...
The leader just burst out laughing. "Do you think I would just hand this runt over? Money first, then the rabbit." The leader stated. Towards the back of the warehouse, right behind some crates, stood a little boy. The little boy peaked his head out from behind the crate and looked at what was going on. Just by looking at the little boy it was clear that he was a rabbit just like Dimitri. Instead of the little boy having white hair, white ears, and a white tail, he had brown ears, tail, and hair. The boy had looked at the leader with disgust clearly not liking what was happening. He stormed out from his hiding spot with pure rage. "Dad!" He yelled out as he stormed up to the leader. "What are you doing?! Is this how you can afford all of your frivolous spending?!" The boy stopped a few feet behind his father, the leader.
The leader immediately turned around once he heard his son and growled. "I told you to stay in the car! You're such a stupid kid!" The leader growled out. The boy growled right back. "How would Emily feel about this?! She adored everyone! She cried whenever I accidentally hurt myself! She would've killed herself if you hadn't killed her first!" The boy lashed out onto his father.
The leader just stood there silently for a minute before getting down on his knees. The boy had hit him where it really hurt. The leader reluctantly pulled off his mask and looked at the boy with a scarred-up face and sadness in his eyes. "I'm sorry..." The leader whispered. "I didn't mean to hurt her... She jumped in the way... I couldn't get her to the hospital in time..." He looked up at the Man holding Dimitri at gunpoint as if he were saying to let him go. Without a second to spare the person had pulled their gun away and kicked Dimitri down towards Javier. After Dimitri hit the ground, the person had started walking towards the back entrance while signaling the others to come. While the people left the warehouse the leader had stayed put.
