Closing the hole behind her, the area fell into darkness. Calling a small fireball she illuminated her immediate surroundings so she wouldn't trip on a stray piece of rock. Walking deeper, she found Till in dragon form facing away from her. Making the fireball big enough to illuminate the entire area, Ceru made her way to the space between Till's claws. Sitting down, she leaned on his neck and sat silently with him. After a while Ceru decided to ask him what was wrong.
Till didn't answer so Ceru left him alone and sat quietly with him until the silence lulled her to sleep once again.

Ceru awoke to pitch black. Panicking a little she was about to call fire a fireball but a vibration behind her stopped her. Cancelling the spell, she felt around until she hit Till's massive chest. Using it as a guide she plopped herself down and rested on the warm surface.
"Wanna tell me why uncle Reesh was cursing you out?" Asked Ceru.
Silence came from the dragon.
"You know you can't hide in here forever." Said Ceru.
Till have a huff rejecting the idea.
"Okay fine you can but I can't and I'm gonna stay until you leave." Said Ceru.
Till gave a growling whine in response.
"For the record you trained me in earth magic which means I can take down your wall and let them in... unless you talk." Said Ceru.
Till went silent again as he made his choice.
"I didn't want to go destroy the metal dragon." Rumbled Till quietly after some silence.
"You mean you don't want to be known as Irrsinn again." Rephrased Ceru.
"Yeah." Said Till.
"Why not?" Asked Ceru.
"I'll be destroying things again and hurting others. I don't like it." Said Till.
"Even if it was one of your bros that got hurt?" Asked Ceru.
Till didn't answer as he was in a dilemma. One side wanted to destroy everything that hurt Paul but the other side didn't want to cause such destruction again.
"Maybe you can think of it as balancing the world again." Suggested Ceru.
Silence from Till so she continued on.
"The metal dragon is an imbalance. It gives one group too much power over others. By destr- removing it from existence when it's weaker you'll restore balance and you won't have to cause any more damage unlike in an extended battle when it's stronger." Reasoned Ceru.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're really a kid." Chuckled Till.
"Hey! I'm fifteen you know!" Pouted Ceru.
"Besides I had to learn faster than others to survive."
"Cheer up kid. You have us now and when you've lived as long as us, everything looks young in our eyes." Said Till giving Ceru a playful nudge.
"Alright. You wanna take the wall down or are you too old?" Asked Ceru with a snicker.
"You got me there but I'm not that old yet." Laughed Till.
"You're probably the oldest living thing in this world." Said Ceru as light flooded the area.
Shielding her eyes, she felt herself get lifted into the air. When her eyes adjusted she found herself sitting on top of Till's head, allowing her a birds eye view of the cave.

Heading out to the main chamber, none of the other dragons were to be seen. Spotting something pinned under a rock, Ceru jumped off and used air magic to cushion her fall. Thanks to Flake's lessons, she was able to read what the letter said.
"They left to destroy the metal dragon!" Shouted Ceru in alarm.
"What?!" Shouted Till, making the cave shake.
Suddenly getting picked up, she was deposited on his head once more as he unfurled his massive wings. With the help of some wind magic, Till was able to take flight. Going out through the hole Ceru took a moment to admire the starry sky once they broke through the cloud line. Searching for his brothers' magic he located them around the border where all three kingdoms met. Picking up speed he quickly raced to help his brothers.
