It came slowly but Till noticed the strange things Ceru started to do unconsciously. Till had to battle strong winds that came out of nowhere, stomp out several fires, suddenly getting drenched in water, and tripping over boulders that weren't there a second ago. Of course Ceru thought it was hilarious, thinking Till was just clumsy or was practicing his magic again and it got out of hand. It wasn't until Ceru saw her magic affect a boulder that Till tripped over that she understood what was happening.
"Till did all those things happen because of me?" Asked Ceru guiltily.
"Little one it was but do not blame yourself. You had no control over your magic." Said Till trying to sooth the child.
"But I thought you said I can't use magic because of the seal." Sniffed Ceru as tears welled up.
"Your magic was so great that it wore away the seal. It's why your magic was doing weird things in the first place." Explained Till.
"So you're not mad?" Asked Ceru, wiping some tears away.
"Of course not! Now we should practice together so no more accidents happen." Said Till. Two years later, Ceru was now fourteen with the magic capabilities to make the greatest of mages jealous. Till was also quite happy teaching the child magic (with the oopsies of two obliterated mountains when he got a little too happy showing off) as well as the second layer of the seal being completely obliterated by Ceru's magic. The only part left was the binding seal and it showed no signs of cracks or weaknesses. Over the years Ceru's uncles have come by for a visit to see how she was doing and to teach her some magic. Her favorite was Flake since he would come with never ending stories of dead civilizations and far off lands. Even when he didn't he had interesting books of various topics for her to read. Life was perfect as far as a fourteen year old living with six dragons was concerned.
Of course every fairytale has its ups and downs. One spring day, Ceru was off hunting leaving Till to his peace and quiet at home. Snoozing away in a nap, Till was woken up by the magical signatures of his brothers approaching. He could feel something was off and it was never good if it was Paul. From the opening of the cave, Richard and Olli were carrying a clearly injured Paul, right behind them was Doom and Flake. They set the golden dragon down carefully and Till could see the extent of his injuries. Claw marks ripped through golden scales in several places, his flight was taken with the mangled left wing, the right leg was crushed, and his tail was missing the end. What was worse was that none of them could help Paul since he was the only one that could use healing magic. Till could feel the rage build up and threatened to explode as the surrounding shook like his rage. Pushing it down he asked the others what had happened.
"I don't know. He showed up at my home like this. All he said before passing out was big metal dragon." Said Richard.
