Two years passed and Ceru had grown more attached to her (second) new family. Her uncles were usually in and out of Till's place but stopped by when they had the time to hangout and play with her. Richard was absolutely ecstatic the first time Ceru called him uncle and annoyed Till with the fact the entire day. Though Ceru got revenge on the diva by refusing to play dress up with him and chose a more practical and masculine style.
Till opened up a little more to the little human bringing them even closer, while Ceru helped him remaster his magic. Using his base element of earth since it was strongest in him, he tried to manipulate the rocks around him. Of course Ceru played around him, with caution, which forced him to concentrate more in reigning in his magic. It started with disaster at first with his magic running wild, causing the earth to shift too rapidly. Making the earth shake and debris to fall. Ceru got a few scrapes and bruises but nothing too damaging, but was enough for Till to call it quits. Of course Ceru talked him into it and encouraged him to try again. He reluctantly agreed and over time and many moments of nearly calling Paul; Till finally was able to precisely activate his magic and control the earth without causing a magnitude nine earthquake. Following the same steps, the other elements were easier to remaster and Ceru got really good at dodging and finding cover.
After a good dinner and another tiring day of hunting, Ceru flopped down on the grass to sleep. Till settled down next to her as quietly as he could and watched the little one sleep. A good while later Ceru flopped over now with one hand grabbing onto Till's scaly arm. Out of nowhere Ceru's core appeared before him with the seal visible. The second layer had spiderwebs branching out everywhere, weakening its hold on the magic. While the outer ring was cracking and missing parts to the point that it looked like it was going to shatter at any time. Getting closer Till could see white wisps coming out through the crack. It felt old and powerful, something that should exist in a twelve year old. He wanted to see more but Ceru's magic felt a bit threatening like it was telling him that he had overstayed his welcome. Retreating he opened a green eye to spy of the child. She was spread eagle on the soft grass with one hand grabbing onto his arm still sleeping soundly. It seemed like his little adventure didn't cause the same pain like when he looked when she was awake.
The child continued to bring more surprises for him. Flake calculated that she would fall ill to magic overload several more times but at the current state of the seal it didn't look like it would. Till estimate in probably a week the outer ring of the seal that prohibited her from venting her magic would shatter completely and the mid ring would be in a weakened state. This brought new ideas to the ancient dragon to pass the time with the child. If Ceru was to regain her ability to use her magic then he could be able to teach her how to use it. It mattered not which element she was stronger since he was more than capable in every element (except life, that was Paul's area) to teach her. Laying down his massive head a smile moved across his scaly face exposing several sharp teeth. To others it might look intimidating but the dragon only had happy dreams of teaching Ceru.
