The battle wasn't going so well. Every attack they threw at it was blocked and when they did land a hit the metal dragon would recover easily. The first one down was Richard. His hot headed nature had him rushing in head first which only got him a hard punch in the chest. Sending him crashing into the side of a mountain. Paul quickly flew over to heal him while the metal dragon prepared to blast them both with water magic. Luckily Doom blasted him first with his own water magic, getting the attention of the metal dragon. Leading it away Doom and Olli engaged with the dragon in a flurry of magic and claws. All the while Flake kept his distance analyzing where the dragon's weakness might be.

Doom and Olli managed to keep it busy long enough for Paul to completely heal Richard. Now with three dragons they were gaining the upper hand. As they fought they noticed only their most destructive attacks damaged the dragon. Blasting and blasting they finally were able to destroy parts fast enough that it's regeneration couldn't keep up. Their last blast disintegrated any metal left as well as the core powering the entire puppet. Celebrating their win they were cut short when they felt something else approach.

A massive metal dragon, twice as large as the last made its way over the field. It was more stable and radiated more magic than its predecessor. It looked menacing with its red glow and industrial look.

It had massive metal wings but it looked too heavy to take flight or even move fast. Caution turned into panic when they sensed a large scale magic being used. The new massive dragon launched an attack using two elements combined instead of one. Dodging, the blast leveled the mountain behind them. Leaving nothing but dust and pebbles. Now in a panic they decided to use speed to outwit the metal dragon due to its slow movements. Olli headed in first with several wind attacks before quickly flying away. All his attacks landed but did nothing to the dragon. Diving for another attack he was blindsided with a tail whip. The force sent him flying to where the others were waiting. With surprising speed the metal dragon launched itself towards the other dragons, aiming at Paul.

Pushing Paul all out of the way Richard was body slammed by the dragon and he could feel many of his ribs and other bones breaking from the impact. Flying back from the force he hit Olli who was recovering from his whack and sent him down again. The dragon relentlessly chased after Paul so he couldn't heal his two injured brothers. With Doom the only one left attacking, the dragon quickly made a turn from chasing Paul and punched Doom in the chest. Winded, Doom backed off which allowed the metal dragon to catch up to the golden one.

Blasting his wing with wind magic, Paul spiraled down to the ground with a loud thud. His healing magic immediately kicked in but the metal dragon was on him already undoing whatever his magic was healing. Flake tried to help but his attacks only annoyed the metal dragon. Getting swatted away Flake was sent flying as the metal dragon readied for the killing blow to the golden one. Metal claws dug into the golden dragon pinning him place and any movement sent waves of pain. Despite this, Paul continued to wiggle in hopes of getting free. His eyes went wide as he saw the massive maw of the dragon open, revealing sharp teeth. Everything seemed to move in slow motion as the metal dragon descended towards Paul's neck. Before he could even close his eyes the red disappeared in a blur and a loud crash followed. Once he got over his tunnel vision from fear, Paul registered what was happening. Next to him another dragon stood tall and ready to fight as the metal dragon got up and shook off the earth. There was no mistake, there was only one dragon that looked like that.
