Ceru continued to back away with a gulp as green eyes found her tiny existence on the rock.
"Hello mister dragon. Um- I'm Ceru, your sacrifice for the year. Please don't destroy the village." Said Ceru as loud as she could without making it seem like she was shouting at it.
The dragon gave a snort before disappearing down below.  Confused, Ceru creeped towards the edge to see where the dragon had gone.  Getting close to the edge, her weight collapsed the weak rock.  Eyes widening in fear, Ceru flailed helplessly in the air as she fell.  Hitting the ground, the impact vibrated through her bones sending her into shock.  The world was getting fuzzy as she fought to stay awake.  Before everything went dark a spiky head appeared in the corner of her vision.

It was still dark but Ceru could feel something warm swirling inside of her violently like it wanted to break out.  Panicking, a heavy object laid on top of her lower half and the feeling calmed itself.  No longer trying to break out the warmth washed over her as tendons, bones, and bruises mended itself.  Opening her eyes Ceru found herself still in the cave.  Trying to sit up pain from her muscles sent her back down.  Giving up, something else helped her sit up.  Letting out a squeak as a massive claw gripped her gently and sat her against a wall.  Now settled she found the green eyes of the dragon from before.  Something told her the dragon wasn't here to hurt or eat her so she held back a scream of fear her brain was demanding her to let out.
"Thanks mister dragon." Said Ceru.
The dragon gave a snort in response as it crossed its claws(or was it hands? Ceru wasn't sure) and sat patiently away from her.

Testing her body she steadily regained motion without her muscles failing her midway.  Getting a hang of it she slowly got up to take a few steps.  Only for her legs to give out and her face became acquainted to rock.  The dragon let out several chuffs like it was laughing at her.  Getting frustrated she rolled over letting the pain distract her from the dragon.

Oh yeah the dragon.

Thinking hard to the stories the villagers told she remembered a name that they called it.  Ah yes!  Irrsinn and it was a he.  A violent tremor pulled her out her thoughts as she looked over to find out what caused it.  To say she was disappointed and upset was an understatement.  The dragon her village feared for centuries, the destroyer, the great calamity was rolling around laughing at her face plant into the floor.
"Lovely even Irrsinn mocks me." Grumbled Ceru.
Pushing herself up, Ceru shakely got to her feet again.  Achieving a few steps more than before she cheered at her success.  Only to feel gravity tip her over again.  Thinking that her face was going to get acquainted with stone again she braced herself for the pain.  Near millimeters to the ground she was stopped before being picked up.  Now sitting on Irrsinn's hand she felt the warmth again as the sting in her face disappeared.  Irrsinn's eyes seemed to glow green before fading as he placed her back down.
"Thank you. But aren't you going to eat me?" Asked Ceru.
Irrsinn growled deeply, making the cave shake again.  Seemingly not happy with the idea that he ate people.  Padding away he headed deeper before curling up in an indent in the cave hidden by a wall of stalagmites and stalagmites.

Ceru climbed over a boulder before sliding down into the area.  Tumbling over she steadied herself by bracing herself against his massive arm.
"I'm sorry. I guess the stories were wrong. You're a nice dragon aren't you?" Said Ceru feeling bad that she managed to offend such a large creature.
Irrsinn didn't move so Ceru kept talking.
"The stories aren't true at all. All you've been was nice... ish to me and judging by the bones you only eat cow or pig. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings Irrsinn." Apologize Ceru.
An awkward pause later, Irrsinn moved his massive head to look at Ceru before giving her nudge in acceptance of her apology.  With that cleared up, Ceru found herself a cleaner spot to lie down.  Brushing off a large flat boulder, she curled up as she closed her eyes in hope of some rest.
