After warming up to the golden dragon, Ceru willingly stayed with him without Till around. While those two were playing Till snuck off to find Flake to discuss the seal. The dragon of knowledge was no longer hiding from him but was still less than happy to see him but Ceru was too interesting to abandon learning about.
"Flake about last time-"
"I forgive you for that injury, Paul fixed it up quite well. However, I'm still mad that you burned my books." Said Flake.
"It was just a few." Said Till.
"You burned a few hundred Till! I'm still rewriting them from memory!" Scolded Flake.
"I'm sorry." Apologized Till now looking like a kicked puppy.
"No matter. What is with the child?" Asked Flake.
Till took a branch from the new tree in his home and started drawing the seal in the dirt. After a perfect replica was drawn, Flake studied it like it was the most fascinating thing in the world.
"Can you read it?" Asked Till.
"I've never seen something like this! It looks to be a mix of human and Neighbor inscriptions. Whoever did this was or is, is a brilliant mage. The outside ring is the magic vent that was damaged, while the inner ring is sealing her magic so that she can't access it. The innermost part is very old and forbidden magic." Rattled on Flake.
"Forbidden?" Asked Till.
"Yes. That part was used to bind something to someone or something else. By the looks of it whoever put this seal on her wanted to turn her into a battery for I'm guessing some kind of dragon shaped puppet." Said Flake still looking very intently at the seal.
"I thought core binding was lost to the humans." Said Till.
"Someone must have dug up information on it and why do you think humans?" Asked Flake.
"Neighbors know binding magic is black magic and would never go a hundred feet near it. Humans and their stupid curiosity would. Who else would want to recreate us?" Reasoned Till.
"You have a point. But if humans did this it would be reasonable to say they have a backup somewhere." Said Flake.
"I agree but it can't be the Genhiem regions since they are still weak from when we destroyed them so it has to be the Yule and Rhine kingdoms." Said Till.
"Or both. Yule has a higher Neighbor population while Rhine has a higher human population. So if they work together they would have the knowledge to create a seal with both human and Neighbor inscriptions." Said Flake.
Till nodded in agreement but feared that they were spot on. If they were creating something powerful then he would be called upon to bring balance again and he didn't want to be known as the destroyer again.

Meanwhile at the border between Yule and Rhine. A secret underground facility was bathed in a blue light as machinery hummed to life.
"We have done it!"
"It has been a long journey here with many sacrifices."
"Indeed. Soon we will be able to show the world of our creation."
"Let's celebrate with a bang!"
The four of them laughed aloud as their creation sat gloriously behind them.
