Chapter 17

"Okay, today we're working on Britney Spears," Mr. Schu told us the next day. "Who would like to go first?"

"I will. Britney Spears made me realize I'm more talented than all of you," Brittany said. She stood up and sang along to one of Spear's first songs.

"I can feel the adrenaline rushing through my veins. Spotlight on me and I'm ready to break. I'm like a performer, the dance floor is my stage. Better be ready. Hope that you feel the same," she sang.

When she was done she sat down and everyone clapped. "I'll go," I said and let go of Sam's hand and stood up.

"I can't take it, take it, take no more. Never felt like, felt like this before. C'mon get me, get me on the floor. DJ what you, what you waiting for," I sang.

Everyone clapped when I finished and I sat down and layed my head on Sam's lap just as Rachel stood up.

"If I said my heart was beating loud, if we could escape the crowd somehow. If I said I want your body now, would you hold it against me? Cuz you feel like paradise and I need a vacation tonight. So if I said I want your body now, would you hold it against me?" she sang.

For some reason she started crying. She always cries when she sings a solo, which is extremely weird. I don't see why Finn is into her enough to break my best friend's heart.

Rachel finished and sat down. "Okay, I totally just remembered something," Mr. Schu said. "How was your audition Marissa?"

"I think I did good but I'll find out today when I get home."

"Alright, awesome. Anyways, moving on."

I ran into my house. I looked through the envelopes until I saw one that had my name printed on it. It was the results for my auditions. I ripped open the envelope and scanned the letter. My results were...........
