"jaehyun" smiled the old man, Jaehyun bowed at him, the man patting his shoulder urging him to lift his head again, Yona's form hid slightly behind Jaehyun, she popped her head to the side slowly, was that him? their father? their actual adoptive father?
The old man turned in a amuzingly questioning way to his sons, Jaehyun immediately understoon the source of his confusion and softly grabbed Yona by her shoulders, bringing her to stand in front of him, facing his father
"father, this is Yona, our little sister and the yougest of the family, butterfly, this is our father, we actually told you about him before" introduced Jaehyun, the man stared at Yona with a soft look, she offered him her hand to shake
"Nice to meet you, mister Lee" she said in a bubbly voice, his eyebrows rose, he looked surprised, his eyes widened, the boys worried as they saw his reaction, Johnny got on his feet ready to bring Yona to sit next to him.
Yona stood awkwardly as the old man froze in front of her, his cold eyes fixed on her hand, maybe he doesn't like shaking hands, she thought she looked like an idiot, she soon took her hand back embarassingly hiding it behind her back
"why don't we go sit down, hm butterfly?" Yona just nodded at Johnny letting him lead her to the big couch, she threw an anxious look at Ten, who mouthed a silent "it's ok" to her.
"I didn't really expect to be meeting the new member here, I thought the rumors weren't true" said their father
"They weren't rumors, we actually made an official announcement" said Taeyong, he looked tense, this morning was supposed to be a happy energetic one, not anymore apparently.
"An official announcement is made when the new member gets the Lee last name too, she's still a Kim, no?" stated the old man, a smile painting his lips, an unreadable smile.
"so you know about her father"
The man chuckled at Xiaojun's statement, slowly walking the big chair, he took his time to sit down and get comfortable.
"of course I know, i may have gotten older, but I was in this world before you, now now, I wanna know how you got my sons to warm up to you?" He asked, the guys knew this question wasn't for them, but they wanted to answer everything for her, they were scared this is going to take a path worst than they thought it would
"It's a long story, if you're willing to hear all of it, then I'm ready to tell" said Yona, her face was timid, she tried masking her fears with a smile, but the old man looked like he wasn't having it.
"I'm tired now, I just got off a very long flight, I'd want to go rest now" said Mr Lee with a blank face, standing up slowly
"sure, I'll let Marie show you to your room" said Taeil
"Marie... Marie?! where is she?" called Yuta, his father stared at him, making him feel almost intimidated
"it's ok father, I'll take you, let's go" said Sungchan, guiding him to the room he should be staying at.
"I love it when everything goes wrong at once" said Haechan, tone dripping in sarcasm
"this whole situation was a terrible mess" exclaimed Shotaro, plopping down in his spot, hands massaging his temples
"I had no clue he was coming today" said Kun
"oh tell me about it, I knew he would be coming eventually since I sent him that message, but I didn't expect him to come without notifying us, that was very random of him" said Taeyong
