Yui was sitting on her bed , still trying to process what she had  just seen . The fact that a person could pass through the TV was already strange enough as it is , but then what she saw behind the glass surface was shocking beyond words . She repeatedly closed and opened her eyes forcefully , as if she was trying to wake up from what she had hoped was a nightmare . However , the world around her was a reality , and there was no changing that . She felt she was going insane just thinking about it , so she tried to get her mind off of things .

In her dazed and confused state , she decided to go for a glass of water. On her way downstairs , her eyes looked at the door of Yu's room for just a second , she could hear the muffled voice behind the door . It was difficult to tell for sure , but it sounded like he was chanting something . She felt scared , and hastened her pace downstairs . Her heart was getting more agitated by the second , until she finally arrived at the kitchen , but she didn't enter . In the living room , she could hear her uncle talking on the phone with someone . She could only hear his side of the conversation , but it was enough to stop her in her tracks .

" so he's really divorced her ... what about their daughter ? ... " he said worriedly , not realizing that Yui was within hearing range " I don't think the court will allow her mother to keep the custody of her daughter , and even I could tell she didn't like to be with her father "

" divorce ... my parents just divorced ... ? "

" Yui ?! Since when ... ?! What did you ... ?! "

" I heard everything , okay ?! " Yui furiously replied " my parents are divorcing , and I'm gonna be with my father ! In other words , nobody in the police or the prosecution believed me ! Why would they believe me , why would anyone believe me ?! "

" Yui , listen ... we ... "

" no , I don't care anymore ! Fine , I'll just live with my father for the rest of my life , just know that I'll never ever forgive him , nor anyone else who worked with us in this case ! I'll continue to hold a grudge against them all until MY HEART STOPS !!! "

" Yui ... your aunt wants to talk to you on the phone ... "

" my aunt ? You mean Yu Narukami's ... "

" just talk to her ... okay ... ? " Mr. Dojima said as he handed her the phone , not having the resolve to look her in the eye

" yes , what do you want ?! " Yui said , basically spitting words at this point

" Natsumi , my dear child , listen to me" the woman on the phone said kindly " nothing is decided just yet , and we won't let you do something that you hate so much , okay ? "

" okay , first of all , my name is Yui Fuyumi , I don't  know about any ' Natsumi ' , okay ?! Secondly , what do you mean it's not decided ?! Didn't he divorce her already ?! "

" y—yes , but that doesn't mean that he's taking custody rights . There's always a way , Yui , don't lose hope just yet " Her aunt said tenderly " you're not alone in this world , so stop thinking that you are . If you feel suffocated , just talk to Yu , your cousin . He's more than willing to hear you out and comfort you . I just called him and told him about your situation , and he wouldn't ... Yui ... ? Are you ... crying ... "

She was , Yui's eyes were gushing tears like waterfalls . She couldn't stop them nor could she respond to her aunt . It was such a devastating thing to do , when you say something so kind and supportive yet so ultimately soul-crushing to one person . Yui could only collapse on her knees and cry emotionally , while placing the phone on the ground . Her aunt's anxious words were so distant at that point , and she couldn't even sense the presence of Mr. Dojima who tried to calm her down .

So this season one very short season , huh ?

For those who are following my account , they would realize that I have two other ongoing fanfictions . What you don't know is that I already have other unpublished works on the go , to say nothing about what is going on outside the internet in real life .

Seriously , I underestimated how difficult it is to balance so many published books , and only now does my overworked ass realize I had taken a bigger bite than what I can chew . I'm really sorry about having fewer parts , but I hope you enjoyed the variety in my updates , nonetheless .

As for why and how long I would take a break , I will make an announcement about that soon . I may disappoint you now , but just know that when I start publishing in this fanfiction again , the upcoming events will not disappoint you .
