Yu made his way to the school , passing by the river among other students , with the rain trickling down on his umbrella . The other students were talking about the school clubs and which one to join, and some were talking about the need of money and the idea of taking part time jobs . Yu was more engrossed into his own bubble of thoughts , after all , he probably only had three days to rescue Yukiko's mother . What snapped him from his train of thoughts was the loud and sudden sound of crashing right behind him , and he looked back to see Yosuke trapped between the garbage bin , his umbrella and his bike .
" are you okay ? " Yu helped him back on his feet
" y—yeah ... I didn't think riding the bike while holding an umbrella would be this difficult ! " Yosuke laughed awkwardly " then again I think I made it pretty far , didn't I ? "
" if you say so ... " the two of them continued their stride to the school , this time Yosuke chose to push his bike and hold the umbrella instead
" I have some bad news ... " Yosuke mumbled with a trouble look on his face " Chie had to stay at home , apparently she caught a cold "
" what ?! Did you watch the news last night ? " Yu was alarmed to hear that " at this rate , we may have to enter the TV world on our own "
" I should hope not ... when she called me to tell me about her illness , she greatly emphasized that we should wait for her " Yosuke proceeded to do a terrible impression of Chie's voice as he repeated what she had told him " ' if you go in there , I'll break the TV in Junes on your heads ! ' ... or something like that ... can you imagine how she said that in a congested voice through the phone ?! Talk about stubborn ! "
" in all seriousness , I doubt we have what it takes to take on Kaede's shadow yet , even the three of us " Yu clenched his fist and thought " if only we could have more time ... "
" let's wait until tomorrow , we're both tired , not just Chie "
" yeah , you're right ... "
The students remained mostly confined inside the school . Outside , the sky was pouring rain the likes of which would've only been seen during winter , as each drop of rain seemed to create a splash of water on the ground . It was the kind of rain that even an umbrella wouldn't be enough to shield . This weather was exactly what Yui needed to relax her mind , as the ambience of the rain outside numbed her senses to the world around her , suddenly , the fear of the killer hunting down their next victim seemed so distant to her . She was lost in her own thought bubble , and unbeknownst to herself , she began sketching and doodling in her own notebook .
" what are you drawing here , Yui ? "
" ahh !! N—nothing ! " Yui was startled by Aiko being right over her head , and was quick to cover her notebook
" aww ... c'mon , it was a great drawing , right , Midori ? "
" y—yes ... yes , it was " Midori nodded weakly " I think there's an art club ... in our school ? "
